Buying a new Rx8
i'm new to the forum LOL. i don't have a Rx8, but i really wants to buy a rx8, because i just sold my FD. And i know this is the only place i can get ideas. I wanna know how many models does the rx8 have, which one you recommand. What option should get and shouldn't. i love the T.Gray exterior. and the cloth seats. I need something to replace my Rx7. thanks! oh yea, moon roof or hardtop? DAMN so hard to decide!!!!!!!

I got the 1SP package (the Sport package) in the 6MT flavor.
The 6MT option gives you most of everything you need (Limited-slip diff, 238HP engine, 18" wheels) and the 1SP adds the HID/Xenon lights (which I really like), Fogs, and traction control (which I find to be relatively unobtrusive). No sunroof, so better headroom. No leather seats, but I prefer the cloth seats. Manual seat adjustment, which I also prefer.
In hindsight I would have picked a different color than Black which is very difficult to keep looking clean and shiny.
I wouldn't have minded getting the rear spoiler and some of the rotary accents/appearance packages.
I didn't get the nav, but that's because I have a handheld GPS which I use instead.
Most of the important options (IMO) come with the 6MT package.
Cheers,
Simon.

thanks for all everything !!!! the T.Gray exterior and black cloth seats are already firm. Because i've owned a R1 FD, so i know the need of the roof sometime, but i also know the weight will increase........so i'm still very confus, if it's a RX7, i'll definity say no to the roof, but this is a 8.........and i don't want the bose stereo, i don't think it's good at all, same thing with the RX7, the bose sucks. i'll rather put some aftermarket system in, cheaper and better. And the areo package, damn it rocks! i love the skirt, and i love the little rotary accent, but not the spoiler, can i take the spoiler out from the price? so, forget the roof for now, is there anything package ./ option that'll meet my need??? 6 MT for sure. thanks

HID..........ummmm , no, i can get a way brighter and cheaper HID from Taiwan or Hong Kong. My buddy's 350Z base have a HID kit from HK, and it only cost $200, and it look damn nice, i'll go blind if i look closer at night. plus it's a lot more different than the stock color.....looks very cool.

Personally I think aftermarket HID kits that dont have proper focus/levelling and are too blue/purple look lame..
The HID's in the 8 (and most factory ones) are done 'right' which is difficult to do in an aftermarket kit - especially for $200, which generally just gets you some blue colored halogen bulbs.

I agree. I'm not a fan of aftermarket HID kits either. Another added plus of factory HID's is the manufacturers warranty If a bulb or balast goes out, just take it back to the dealer.
