Question Canyon Roads in SLO Area

So I go to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and there really isn't much to do here, especially due to the fact that i'm in Electrical Engineering and have almost no life. Lol. I unfortunately don't have the 8 here, crappy enough, but I have my mom's 8th gen Civic here that has wider than stock wheels. It's better than nothing, but no where near as capable than the 8 on those roads. I've done a few in the Civic, and actually kept up with people pretty well, but in the 8 I would have been gone no doubt. I'd like to say I'm a really skillful driver, based on the fact that I had 3 friends in the car and after we were done with the drive I took them on, they all had their mouths to the floor in shock.

Anyways, I hate to brag about my skill, but I actually have a pretty free weekend coming up, probably the only one I'll have for the rest of the quarter. I'm looking for some good mountain roads near school that aren't crazy far away, but are still a lot of fun without a ton of cops. I'm from the Bay Area, and we have so many awesome ones that are really close to where I live. Here in SLO, the only one I know of is Highway 58, but I've never been, just read it on a forum. I know there is highway 1, which I remember going on as a kid with my parents, and I remember seeing an Elise overtake all these cars while we were going so slow. It was awesome! So if anyone has any good suggestions I'm open. Thanks.

Oh and if possible I prefer two lane roads that aren't incredibly dangerous because I'd rather not get in a crash and explain to my mom otherwise. Lol.

I know this was a while ago, but I ended up staying for the summer, after going home to bring the 8 down :D

Anyways, when I had our Civic EX, I went with my car club on a drive that probably took us 2-3 hours and was around 60 miles long. We started in Atascadero on Highway 58 then took it to 229, back to Highway 58, and finally back to 101 to get back to school. The drive was awesome, but I really needed the 8 to have kept up with my friend's E46 M3 because 229 is full of switchback turns where the Rx8 would have owned on. Also, in the Bay, we have so many roads it's insane. I'm really looking for some similar to home that I could do for like 10-20 miles for a quick drive because the route I just stated, is too long to do all the time if I don't have time to go for hours. We have a few that are like 10 miles long and full of turns, which is perfect. Plus you don't have to drive to far to get to them. 58 is like 20 min from Cal Poly.
