If you are still looking at getting a new car I would advise NOT getting an FD. As awsome as they are and fun to drive they do not make a good daily driver. For 1 they are 15-13 years old and unreliable (for the most part). Its very hard to find one thats well taken care of as well as cutting your mpg to half the 8's. I LOVE my FD but would never count on it getting me to work everyday. As much as I hate to say it, in your situation the s2000 is a much better choice. My .02

OMG John... I've been out of the loop and just saw this. Glad it worked out w/his insurance and you decided not to keep it - that's quite a diminished value hit to take.... so what did u finally decide on?
