My light is still on after installing a RB cat back and a agency power pulley I know this shouldnt matter. Also I just found my insulation breaking down on my Mazdatrix wire set, I put insulation on and that fixed the rough idle until I get new ones. Does anyone know if the RX8 is OBD II compliant and if not what will work, or does mazda have to reset the the light, and will the light reset itself.
Thanks
Steve.
Thanks
Steve.

Steve,
If you installed the AP pulley, you might have triggered a CEL cause of a misfire. You need to reset the e-shaft position sensor after installing the pulley to ensure the ECU has the correct position settings.
To do so, turn your ignition to ON (which the full dashlights) and press your brake pedal approx 21 times. You should see your oil pressure gauge go to halfway and then fall to zero. You can then start the car.
Otherwise I'd get the CEL code pulled to see what it is. Either way, if you didn't complete the reset after the pulley install it needs to be done anyway.
