Hey now, we have FINALLY decided on a location thanks to the continuing efforts of Atilla, Nikkdizzle, Jedi and ZumnRX8. We will meet outside the pyramid at Cal State University Long Beach. This map was kindly provided by Zumn for us. I will be arriving at the location around 2:30pm this Sunday to get set up so you guys are more than welcome to come by anytime. We will most likely be there until just after sunset.

Ok, so since I kind of dropped the ball on scheduling the last photoshoot when I visited soCal over Thanksgiving, I would like to get another photoshoot going for around Christmas time when I will be in soCal for approximately two weeks beginning the 19th of December. The same sort of deal just like the last one.

Anyone is welcome and any pictures I get will be available at full res (which by the way is like an 8mb jpeg or 70mb tiff). I take my pictures with a Nikon D300 and I have a bunch of lenses ranging from super wide angles, telephotos out to 450mm, a macro and a fisheye, so if you want pics other than from the front quarter of your car, let me know and I'll make sure to bring those lenses. Last time it was kind of a small get together of just four RX-8's and a subie. So maybe this time we'll get a bigger turnout.

Now with more people probably coming to this one rather than last time, I think we will have to be kind of picky as to what kind of location we pick so that we don't crowd up a location and get kicked out. Ideally, a big parking lot / garage usually make for some good pics as well as industrial parks and even beach parking lots (but that will usually cost a little bit to park there). Any and all suggestions in regards to location will be taken under consideration as I don't spend most of my time in soCal anymore so I'm not too familiar with that many "good" spots.

I would also like to know when people would like to have this event. Any day will usually work for me as I'm on vacation but I know I have a few events to attend over the break with which I do not know the exact date/time of yet. Hopefully that will be figured out in the next few days. I'm putting a poll on this thread though to kind of get a feeling of what time people would like to meet for this.

Maybe if we have enough people we could try and attempt some rolling shots as well. I don't have a big boom or some of that fancy equipment that others have but hey we could always give it a shot lol.

So, if I forgot to include anything, please go ahead and reply and let me know and I will try to answer any questions ASAP.

Now just in case if you didn't read the intro to the last thread I am a college student originally from Huntington Beach but I currently attend the University of Montana. I come home and visit during my school breaks but those are usually not very long during the school year. I love taking pictures but I'm no professional, so if you were expecting that, sorry. Anyways for those of you who want a few unique pictures, especially HDR which is what I love to do, then this might be the event for you. If you want to see some other pictures of HDR that I've done, feel free to check out my threads in the photo gallery thread section or even the pics from the last photoshoot which I will show below. There are also a few pictures at the beginning of that thread for those of you who don't know what HDR is there are also a few pics at the beginning of the last photoshoot thread you can check out.
