Question Close to Inland Emp Good Service for MAZDA?

Can anyone recommend a good Mazda dealer within 20 miles of inland Empire that has a good service dept?

I took my 8 in last week to get the oil changed and the 8000 mile once over.

Mazda Redlands. they did the change and rotated my tires for 50 bucks.
Basically 25 dollars to rotate my tires.

The service writer overheard me complain about the price and tried to give me a story about the tires and how much they cost. Give me a break. I know how much they cost and they don't cost 300+ dollars.

I thought there was supposed to be a point within the first thousands of miles where they would change your gear oil. or is this something I would have to ask them to do. I want to put the better stuff in, but was told if anything goes wrong, they wont cover the damage, void the old warranty and stuff.

I thought that this place was cool. But they fired all of the old staff, (stealing and other stuff) .

I drive all the way from riverside to redlands because I bought it there. I think it's about time to break my ties.

I take my car to Redlands also. It's really close to my job. That's why I go there now. I used to go because of the old staff. The guy that was in the service department before was very helpful. If I wanted the latest flash, he'd do it, no questions asked. Now, I need to give detailed explanations, names of nearest living relatives, and cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die, before they'll do warranty related work.

Funny thing is, I'm on their mailing list. I get a letter about once a month reminding me to take my 8 in for regular service. The letter usually includes a coupon for an oil change. When I take the car in, they try to charge me more because it's an 8. I show them the letter that says to bring my 8 in for service, and the coupon is attached to the letter. They know I have an 8, and they send me coupons that aren't valid for the 8. Anyways, I still get the coupon price.

BTW -
What does the cost of your tires have to do with the price of removing the lug nuts, and switching the location of the tire. Why would the service writer tell you how much they cost when you're complaining about the price to rotate them?

I'd also like to find another dealer to go to. I think I'll check out Romero Mazda in Ontario this weekend for my oil change. They're close to my house, and when I was shopping for the 8 they were very helpful. I ended up buying it elsewhere because Romero didn't have a yellow in stock.

Good luck, and let me know if you find another dealer that you like.

I use Romero Mazda. I cant say anything bad about them yet...but dealers tend to not keep my business for very long. Usually we split our respective ways when I get my car back with a brand new scratch along with my oil change.

No problems yet and its been almost two years. I'm thinking of taking an aniversary gift. Never got past the second year itch before .

They have good shuttle service. They'll even take you to the Ontario Mills mall for shopping and offer pick up. They'll even hold your car for service and will hold it for a week if you flying out of the Ontario airport. They don't charge you to park your car for a week, will take you and pick you up from the airport. Never actually done this, but it sounds like a good deal....

Update:

Just got off the phone with prince charming.

He didn't call like he said he would when my part came in.

Said their technician was too backed up to get too it first thing in the morning, couldn't do in until Wednesday.

They only have One Tech working???

I asked him about the flash and said I heard that they are now up to "P".

Long Story Short He said if I didn't have any signs of problems (poog gas milage doesn't count) if they were going to update to the latest flash they would charge $8.95.

I told him they had updated me in the past and this was not an issue.

His answer was.

THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW.

Some people need to do something else, like stay away from the public.

It's not what goes into a man's mouth that corrupts him, but what comes out of it.

I take my car to Romero Motors aswell...
went there to solve a rusting issue in my trunk, and they did a half *** job, leaving their tools in my trunk with some screws not re-installed
then i went down for a flooded engine, and they took care of it within a reasonable time (same day).

Bill, where did you take your 8?

It's Mazda Redlands. It's a part of that big dealership that sells, mercs, dodge, chrysler, lincoln oh yeah and mazda. I put the long short story in the first post.

This guy rubbed me wrong the first time I met/saw him.

Kinda like a David Spade character coming down from Meth.

I would put his name on here but some people freak out.
