Thumbs down Courtesy Henderson -- $2500 "Dealer Markup"

These guys have *****. Went to the Courtesy Mazda Kia Mitzu and whatever else in Henderson, they have 3 RX-8's on the lot. A Ti-Grey Sport, Red Sport, and a Black GT with Chap Leather.

They have right on the window sticker
$28300 base price
$ 1295 "Desert Protection Package"
$3792 "Dealer Installed Options"
$2500 "Dealer Markup"

For a total of
$35887

Don't buy from these jokers. Go to St George or anywhere else... Courtesy has a Monopoly of Mazda here in Vegas, and has had crappy service to boot. But if you have no recorse, see Sara Lee at the Sahara Store. She's about the only good thing the dealer has going for it.

Nah, don't waste your time going to St. George. Go directly to Costco!!!

http://www.costcoauto.com/carre/

You will then get the RX-8 for MSRP almost anywhere in the country. No Desert package, no sea salt package...

Some places you will beat MSRP.

Go talk to Pam @ John Hine in SD. There is no mark up on any of their 3 surplus 8s. 1 silver touring, 1 vel. red GT, and one black auto touring. nice lady to boot.

Desert Package == An additional $1290 markup...

I think they spray $5 worth of some sort of sun screen on the dash and plastic parts. . . so the extra $1290 is profit.

They call it Armor-All haha! What a joke. Seems that most people are getting them msrp or at least very close too.

Maintenance at Courtesy

I also checked out the 8s at Courtesy and the visible markups were outrageous, but with no competition for 120+ miles, they are the only game in town.

My concern now is that even once their pricing is more down to earth, they are still the only maintenance shop in town. Given the newness of the 8 and the exotic mechanics having only one place to get service seems risky and probably expensive.

Anyone dealt with them for RX7 work? If so, good, bad or otherwise?

I just picked up one of those free used car booklets at the groc. store and the cover advertises a new LV dealer...

PEOPLES Mazda, Mitsu, Kia.... (the mix sounds like Courtesy of H)

The address is on centential center blvd. I live in Henderson, so I don't make it to the NW side of the valley. If anyone lives up that way, and has check on their pricing, please report.

Thanks
