on foothil we were leaving claim jumpers and we were headed back torwards riverside. As you know to get on the freeway it's a huge curve and we lost control leaving the curve.

It had clear corners but Simone broke my passenger side one so I put the oem ones back on. I was planning on selling the car I guess I can't do that anymore. So how much do you guys think it's gonna cost my insurance?

from the pics, it doesn't look like too much frame damage. it might not be too bad. get a body kit.

CA Similar Experience

I thought all models of the RX8 had DSC. My 2006 RX8 sport has DSC. I thought the sport trim was the base model. Am I wrong?

So when I first got my car I was playing around in it. My back tires had 50% tread and the DSC was on. The ground was wet but not raining heavily. I did a u-turn at like 20 mph in a court slid my back tires. Thankfully, there were no other cars and the turn was so sharp that my car was sliding at 10 mph, so it was easy to regain control.

Base trim didn't have DSC as standard, only Touring and GT had it standard. You could still get DSC optional with one of the packages. Very very few RX-8s don't have DSC. You pretty much have to try to not get it, which is common when people buy them for the track, since that is also the lightest you can buy your 8, and turn it all off when you track anyway.

I once spun out in my previous base model 05 AT with no DSC. Luckily it was in broad daylight in the morning with no cars on a local road.

I'm glad you're OK. It seems like those orange corners actually might have helped a little. =D

They actually did cuz they're reflectors also and my car was facing back torwards traffic so they probably did

Glad that nobody was injured in your car or someone else's. IMHO, looks to be totaled since the cost of fixing everything is going to be more than the car is worth.

If you get a newer rear drive car, make sure it has stability control and get good summer tires with good wet performance.

Also, your insurance is going to go sky high....

why? his girlfriend's insurance should be going sky high - her insurance would be primary, and his insurance would be secondary. Unless she drives around with liability only, his insurance should largely remain unaffected.

Yeah I don't know how that works hopefully it doesn't go up I have full coverage my dad told the insurance that I was driving so a lil too late for that lol and it might be totalled cuz my car is worth $12,200 on kbb so if the repairs are close to that then yes.
