I personally think that the all the other 8s looked better than the black ones. Obviously, they hide scratches in the clear coat better, but I still don't think the Mazda paint is great... and the black ones really reflect that. When a black 8 is waxed, it looks great from far away or at night, but it doesn't look all too good if you come up close during the daytime. my $.02

i agree on that.

i'm surprised! i thought titanium was the popular color...i guess black is!

but no surprise everyone took off their front plates! im sure the one person that kept their's on will remove it too sooner or later

Yes mrtux I did offer to remove it for the pics I did not want to
ruin the shot but the group said it was ok . . .
that is a ticket in Calif. right?
My personalized plates are being held hostage at the DMV until
the plates for the car come in and I can do the switch . . . .

mine were too (I picked them up last weekend) although now I don't want to put them on the car, I ordered them before I bought this car and I'm having second thoughts.... I'll keep them until I think of something I like better. I just knew I didn't want the plates from the stolen car anymore.

Clarence set up a newsgroup just for our NorCal events, the link is in the thread, South Bay Club. Check it out, we're going to make the D&B thing a regular meeting and also do drives etc.... :D Nice Meeting you!!!

Darn,

I wanted to make but had too many commitments that day. I'm in for next one (unless its the first 2 weeks in August, when I'm on vacation). I'm still trying to decide on a wing/spoiler and maybe the MS rear, and just maybe a new exhaust.

BTW, blksf8, I've done Thunderhill twice with my Miata. I'd love to take the '8 there.

Future, as it stands now the plan is to meet every 3rd Saturday of the month, so we'll hope to see you in July or August!!! In addition to the meets (or in place of??, depending on how things work out) we will be doing other drives, meets, activities as things come up and people are interested. Sideswipe set up a newsgroup in yahoo, not sure if you've seen it yet (so hard to tell from all the different screen names). We're also talking about maybe doing a drive on the 10th of July if anyone is interested.

Sheez I wish I was there, I was working at Blossom Hill and had an emergency and had to leave just when I was about to head out over there. Nice pics, looking forward to the next meet.
