Which dealer are you going for your RX-8 recall testing?

Just curious to see where other RX-8 owners are going to take their cars for the August 2006 recall testing and to see if any dealers are more highly recommended than others.

Most likely either Seaside or Salinas Mazda. Unfortunately, I haven't heard much about either dealership, good or bad.

If you're in the SF Bay Area, I have heard that Menlo Mazda is the pits.

menlo mazda is actually pretty good! i brought my car in the other day and they didnt say anything about the aftermarket parts that i have on my car. i even asked them if my revi intake and exhaust would void warranty and they said no. so im definitely going back there to do my recalls.

I should have said that Menlo Mazda is the pits for sales service. The service manager seemed professional.

Same here.
That's where I bought my car and so far the service folks were good to me. No complaints - hopefully it'll stay that way

I posted on the RX7club.com site and a member replied that he had only had awful experiences with the service and parts department at Salinas Mazda. The poster said the service manager was terrible. The poster said that he had good service at Cypress Mazda in Seaside though.

I'm going to be taking my car to the Seaside dealer.

Well I'm having the Salinas dealer fix my broken driver's visor (like many others have experienced) so I'll update.

Recall are for us old people who don't have parents that own shops. So you should be ok.

I had my recall testing done at Avondale Mazda. But that's here in Phoenix and I think this thread is for CA owners only
