I'm sure that is clutch your smelling, If the e-brake was on that would put a lot of load on the clutch disk. I would have it checked!

I'm betting on burned clutch. If the parking brake was on, the person driving would have really had to rev the engine high to keep from stalling during takeoff. BTW did it ever occur to anyone that burnt clutch actually smells like crack? :D

no dealer is gonna fix clutch since it's wear item. you are sol i think... why don't you drive it to see if it's slipping. if not, just keep driving it.

Your car will be fine. Most of us who drive the car hard will smel this burnt clutch smell after hard brake usage or after hard accelration runs. Sometimes you get the smell after going up a steep hell. It is normal, and especially when the car is new. I am pretty certain your car is fine. If you are still worried, drive the car, and once you get to 25 mile, place it in 5th gear and see if the clutch slips. I bet you it won't. 5 minutes of driving will not burn that clutch. As for the brakes the only thing goes wrong if they get really hot is you warp the rotors, and you should be abel to detect vibration at high speed while braking. Try it and if they seem smooth, then your baby is fine, and well. Seriously stop worrying about it,. It is built to take abuse...Enjoy your car.

well when i got it, i told the salesman, i want tire, clutch , and brake change, even tho my **** is only what, 35 miles? cuz when i'm inside lowballing with the salesman, another punk *** went up and test drove my ****. i was like WHAT THE ****!!!??? so they offer me some free oil change and have everything replace. and yes they did, cuz i can actually feel the different. and i'm so lucky they replace those rubber with bridgestone, it's originally dunlop. so just go back and bitch at them saying something is not right.

Ok, enough about the car. I want to know what you said to your mom. You need to put your mom in her place! And she needs to understand what she did can NEVER happen again.
