Hey ppl, I've been thinking of this one for a few weeks and I'd like to see how many ppl are interested.

I'm planning (or thinking of it at least) a rotary meet in San Luis Obispo for a cruise up highway 1 all the way to monterrey at some time during late winter or early spring (so as to avoid the summer coastal fog that would ruin the sights).

The big deal however would be to rent Laguna Seca for a day and give everyone a chance to run on the track and have some major league fun.

If you're interested, please leave a post here and include tentative dates we could do it and any form of comment you think is worth mentioning.

 

I would be interested in running again @ LS, but I must ask: do you alraedy have a bead on the exact details necessary to rent out that facility??? It is not trivial, nor cheap. LS is the most expensive track on the western US, and they assign rental dates to long-standing established participants many months in advance.
mebbe just pick a date that's already been booked by an organization like NASA/Trackmasters, and plan around that?

 

I'm definitely down. I live in SLO too, and grew up 15 min from Seca. Parents still live there.

 

Put me on the list. I haven't taken that drive in way too long and I've always wanted to test my skills (or lack thereof) on LS.

 

yeah I know how hard and expensive it is to get track time at LS, we could only rent it if a bunch of ppl signed up, and I'm talking bringing in ppl from south and north california. I do have a few contacts that could help in the planning tho since they've dealt with the track ppl a lot

rxaddict, let us know when you have a weekend off so we can do a highway 1 cruise, beats 41 by a helluva lot.
