Galpin Mazda rocks!

So I walk into Galpin Mazda on Friday and drive out with a Blue GT 6spd. Sorry to all you preorder guys. That dealership couldn't be nicer, awesome test drive and I got the car for MSRP at a great interest rate and 6 months with no payments if I so choose. Ask for Duke, they had quite a few unsold cars around.

Motha TRucka!!! I just went there to take a test drive and the dealer is awesome!!! Oh my goodness... I took a spin around and the dealer is just sweet talking me with quoting "its 33,500" for GT brilliant black package" " only 200 above msrp. I wasn't ready to buy because I was just there to test drive and check them out like you guys said, but for sure next week i am getting one from here. Thanks guys for the info... gah I was excited when I got home I called my mumster to hook me up on her credit because my credit is low. Low end torque bs and 178 hp who cares I was enjoying every single bit of the car.:D

Galpin Ti

Saw a Ti car with Galpin paper plates on it last night on the commute home. I tried to take pictures of this car with my PDA but refused to roll down the window 'cause it was just too damb HOT. The results are some seriously distorted pics. Here's on of the better ones believe it or not. This was on 8/14 at about 5:30pm on the Eastbound I-210 near Santa Anita exit. Does this belong to anyone here on the boards?

Lol, that might be me, because I drove all over yesterday, but I don't recall ever going on the 210.

So all you guys got the car for MSRP and are happy about it? I'm sure almost all dealers in Socal are offering MSRP for the 8s. I went to galpin and they guy said he can not go lower than MSRP because of the demand for the car. Basically he means he wants to profit $3000 off me. I understand they are a business but then to profit $3000 is too much. I would let them maybe profit $1000. So after talking to him, he says the best he can do is to give me free lo jack. What a bunch of bull, I'm sure I can find another dealer around the San Bernardino area that will give me under MSRP.

I believe I was the second car to rool out of Galpin mazda over 2 1/2 months ago. I have a silver RX-8. Lorraine was myy sales person. I had a wonderful experience and no pressure. I paid the sticker price. I understand that their are dealers that are charging over sticker price. I can't say enough about Lorraine. She was wonderful. Mazda in Van Nuys, CA....

Jack williams was my sales guy..though I didnt end up buying it just yet. He said he can get me very close to invoice price. You gotta let them know from the begining that you are not going to buy unless you get damn close to invoice price. trust me, it works everytime.

Somethings are meant to happen = ME & MY RX8.

Dropped into Todey Mazda in Oxnard to check out the 8's one Sunday in January. You know, just to LOOK. Had read in the car mags all about how underpowered, no low end torque, yada yada yada - so I knew I would just be looking.

For a complicated reason, they had a $4000 Mazda rebate - that weekend only - on 4 selected RX8's - which, included my Titanium 6 Spd with GT, Appearance Pkg, 6 Disc C-D Player, and front and rear rotary accents. Sticker: $32,289 - After a 2 hour, 70 mile (!!!) test drive, I walked in the office and paid $28,289 (but, then added the chrome wheels and Lo-Jack for $2000 more!!!).

Like (almost) everyone else - no buyer's remorse whatsoever - just a silly grin each and every time I drive it.

I was also a walk in last August and picked up my winning blue w/ everything for slightly under msrp. After I bought it I cancelled my March pre-order at another dealer! Galpin definately rocks but just wait until you have to deal with the service department. Trying to convince Sam Nejad that something is wrong with your car is like pulling teeth

****. Really?

I was thinking about going to Galpin service to talk with them about my fuel mileage issues.

Here: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=24141

Basically, I average around 14 mpg with my auto. WTF?

Been there done that with the mileage issue(search my other posts). You might want to save some time and get the service manager(Ray Shannon) involved from the start.

Don't take my comments negatively, they are professional and courteous, they are just so busy they don't have the time to care unless your issue is a published tsb or recall. When you go, take a look at how many 8s they have in the service lot it will amaze you!

I've had great experience with their service dept. Both Sam and Ray were helpful when I had something to ask.

Sales I had Philip from the Internet sales dept. helping me... overrall I wish Galpin was closer to my home, that way I can always go to them. But driving 1+ hour isn't too convenient to me.
