If there is enough interest, I would like to setup a Dyno Tune, Suspension tuning (corner balance and alignment), installs by bhr and a track weekend at thunderhill July 9 & 10.
I have spoken with the owner of MCE Racing at Thunderhill and he would love to work with our group. He is a nice guy, Runs a Dyno Jet and there is plenty of space for parking and testing in the thunderhill parking lot. In addition, if BHR is coming we wil rent a garage (no lift) for installs and suspension tuning. (i can provide the scales & alignment tools).
My idea is to do work on our the cars saturday and drive them on sunday with ncrc. I however will be driving both days and hanging out between sessions.
If enough people need installs we could even start on friday, but the goal is to get our cars ready for the track on sunday.
Let me know what you guys think.
BTW, thunderhill is in Willows Ca. About 100 miles north of I-5, 140 miles from San Franscisco. If you plan ahead you can get a Hotel for around $40-50 or less. Within walking distance of a nice mexican restaurant/full bar. Could be a lot of fun.
Use the poll to let me know what you are interested in.
The link to the organization putting on the track day. $125 for the track fee per person per day. Driving School is available on Saturday. If you have done atleast 1 track day somewhere, you can do solo but should go out with a Thunderhill Veteren like myself to learn the lines.

Rather then doing the old runing list that gets messy, I added a poll. Select what you are interested in. Were 4 months away so this is just a feeler, but it would be nice to know what kind of turnout to expect.

I voted. Currently buying a house, and all my money will be gone in the next 30 days but I should have my savings built right back up by that time. If the BHR crew comes over, I would definitely make it happen.
I would most likely be interested in Dyno/tune + install coilovers and saturday/sunday hpde. I can't wait to get back on the track.

Coilovers and corner balance, there you go Matt now your talking. But no HPDE? I will be your instructer
You crack me up with all the dyno tuning. I think your secretly testing Dyno's for accuracy. Either that or your hoping Jeff has some apifiny and finds the missing HP in your car.

I was thinking about that the other day. I believe my car has been dyno tuned at least half dozen times. I know there is nothing more to be gained from further tuning (as far as HP goes) but I'm always glad to pony up some money to get Jeff and the BHR crew to come out.
No plans on tracking but I do enjoy seeing the other 8's and watching people with skill move an 8 around a track is a thing of beauty.
Now to do some coilover research....

San Jose might be a good 1 night pit stop and place to sleep for the BHR crew, but its almost a 3 hour drive up to Thunderhill. I would recommend getting a hotel in Willows if you are staying the weekend.

I will be at thunderhill on april 1st. I will have the dyno guy put us on his calender and I will get additional information about renting a garage for the weekend.
If we have enough people coming for the weekend, I will negotiate a group rate at a hotel in willows. One that is within walking distance of the bar of course.
