GOOD MECHANIC in SD

So I searched and most of the posts are a little old so I figured I would open this one back up and see if I can't get some help. I got my rx8 and replaced the coils and plugs changed the oil due to my check engine light coming on with a misfire code and it ran way better than when i got it but it is back to runing like crap. It is hesitant, and take a bit to catch when it starts, it also shakes when the rpm's drop below 1k at traffic lights. Took it to get smogged today and the guy said it was misfiring, again. FML. So back to the original question, anyone know a mechanic who can get in to this and figure out what the heck is going on with my car? Thank you so much...

I do all my own work on my RX8. If you need a hand checking things out, I can hook you up. If you changed plugs and coils... and it is still misfiring then try spraying you mass air flow sensor with some electric contact cleaner and check your air filter. It could also be a bad fuel filter or fuel injectors

hello i work at Westcott Mazda and i currently own a 2007 Mazda RX-8 and i too have been looking for a good rotary specialist in the San Diego area and ive even had a run in with a wannabe specialist that honestly ended up just wasting my time and now im glad to have found Jim's Rotary shop, he went through all the Mazda certifications to be working on the rotary engine and is very knowledgeable as to how to treat and diagnose any rotary engine, he is very professional honest and easy to talk to he is without a doubt the best go to mechanic for all things rotary.
