Hayward mazda
As some of you may know I just purchased my rx8 in febuary from hayward mazda. When I purchased the car the taillights had water in them they said they would fix them. I came back they said that I came too late to come back bear in mindits a two hour drive one way. I also had the air bag light on they said they fixed it the first two times and didn't. Finally went again and they soldered the wire for the at bag but said they had to order the parts. Also said they had to order the parts for the taillight this is the third time I went. He said he would call when parts came in that was febuary nothing. I finally gave up and took it to autowest mazda. Service manager said three recalls haven't been. They opened it up to find trailing plugs in the leading plug slots. I'm pissed. I buy the car from a mazda dealer in hopes the car would be in much better shape and things would be done correctly. The guy I purchased it from will hear from me as soon as he comes in. Just thought everyone should know Hayward doesn't seem to know enough about rotaries to be working on them. As I said they will hear from me because they clearly need some training.

sorry for the bad experience, a couple of years ago, i think hayward mazda was the best place to go, but over the years, they became like every other mazda dealership with the lack of initiative or lack of attentiveness. i go back to fremont mazda now because i actually got to know the service reps and some of the service team and trust them, they dont go against policy but they're real, they dont bs. i dont know if thats just with me or everyone, but i prefer going there than hayward.

I will drop my car there tomorrow for MT syncro check up.
It just 5 mins from home and I have no other ride, so Hayward Mazda is the easiest way.
Since I'm local, I went there so many time.
I also had many bad experiences with Hayward Mazda.
Seems like tech there know nothing about rotary engine.
My advice is to look for Moe, the service manager.
At lease he has rx-7 and have knowledge about rotary engine.

Actually moe was the one who dropped the ball. I called them and he told me he called me three times then set up an appointment for friday and I didn't show. I work and have class on Friday WTF would I have made an appointment for that day. Then he told me it's not his fault the plugs where in backwards and that they don't care about the used cars. Then said he had a customer and put me on hold. Terrible customer service. And why the hell would you not do recalls on a vehicle you are selling. I didn't buy it from Honda I bought it from mazda expecting much much better service. Three recalls some more than a year old. I then found out both the plugs where in completely backwards and cracked.... How the ****..... I asked them to do a load test on the battery. It's pretty much dead. Why the hell would you sell a car without doing anything to make it sellable. I'm so upset right now. On the flip side the car now runs amazing!!!! Two of the recalls where PCM updates and one emission powerloss. Also obviously the wrong plugs. Even driving home my girlfriend was like holy **** it's soooo smooth. Inturn mazda will recieve a letter from me about Hayward. It's things like that, that can destroy a company. In this economy why the hell would customer service be do hard to find???
Sorry end rant. Also sorry punctuation as I'm on my phone

^ Shouldn't have to. Economy as it is, customer service should be through the roof, but it's only seemed to have gone out the window.
Sorry I just don't agree with the "It's that way get used to it" philosophy thats b.s. and you know it.

I avoid the dealers as much as possible unless I'm buying oil filters. go to Ricks Rotary's Performance. Kinda expensive, but they will get the job done.
On a side note, I had a few troubles with the salesmen there to. In short, after I walked out the dealer, they called me back a day later saying that my original offer for an 8 I was looking at would be perfectly fine. meh, found a better deal elsewhere
