Help With Choosing exhaust..now!!

Im looking to put new exhaust on my future rx8. It is basically stock but here are the two choices i like. I heard N1 is cheap..and im looking for cheap now. I will put a nicer exhaust when i get my license and get a good job.

Here are the two mufflers currently:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=021
(claims to be JDM)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=015

Does anyone here know how easy it is to get those welded on? and about how much?

Also will the current stock rx-8's...midpipe i guess it is?...work with these tips? Are the pipes 2.5"? Otherwise where cani get a new midpipe andhow much is that?
Im looking to buy one of these tonight so your advice would be great!

I am leaning towards the first link right now since it is apparently JDM.

Save your money and wait till you can afford a real exhaust. Tips on a stock exhaust won't do anything other then cost you money, and unless you have a good welder doing the work, will probably look god awful. The stock exhaust is fine for now.

The exhaust is three parts:

1. header coming down from the engine
2. midpipe that hold your catalytic converter
3. exhaust that holds your muffler that has two exit points that end in the tips you see on a stock RX8

Slapping on ebay tips wouldnt require you to do anything to the other two parts of the exhaust system. But please don't buy them

What might be pretty awesome would be to buy 2 HKS Hi-power Single exhausts, and have them connect at a y-pipe so you would have a true dual exhaust. This has been discussed before, but I don't think anyone has done it.

i have a crazy idea.

turn 16. then get a license. then buy a car..

then post again..

or do a whole lot more research before posting stupid stuff!

i am calling vana buy a vowel.. / crossfire.

you cannot put an exhaust on a car you dont own..

When you know enough to know you do not know, then you can begin to learn in earnest.

Have you considered the legal ramifications of replacing your midpipe? Most people do it to get rid of their catalytic converter. doing so is illegal, and will prevent you from ever passing smog.

the mazdaspeed exhaust looks a million times better then those tips. For the love of god and all that is holy, please don't get those tips.
