Hitting 50K miles - Any recommends for servicing?
I'm in Claremont - off the 10 Fwy, on the LA County/San Berdino County line.
Any recommendations for where I should take my RX8 after the warrenty is out??
Thanks.

how is she holding up at around 50k?
as for service you could do what i do..and do it all yourself ...b/c no one else will take the right amount of care of your baby

Anything weird going on with your car?? I have had mine for about a year only 14k miles.
I would suggest take it to a Mazda dealer to do the servicing. Most of the time I take it to a shop they look at the engine bay and look at me funny. Even when I take it to Jiffy Lube or an other oil changer shop they are puzzled and have to look it up on the computer.

Thanks all.
Nothing weird - some trannt vibration when I'm at a light and have theAC on.
I'll probably just do the basic stuff myself - haven't used jiffy lube in years and won't ever again (I had disconnected hoses after an oil change - which came to my attention halfway to Vegas!!).

brake fluid is hydroscopic..it collects water over time (water has a higher bloiling point than brake fluid and just adding a lill water to your dot 3 can mess up it's boil point pretty fast and bad). also water can rust out your brake lines from teh inside..and you'll never knwo it is happening until you hit them one day and teh brake .
it is recomended to replace brake fluid every 1/2-2 years. i flush mine every 9months -12months :D
