That's why you have to go to different locations. I've been to the South Bay meet, the LA Valley meet, and mostly the Tustin OC meet. Depending on the location, you will see "X" cars... At the most recent OC meet, there were about 6 RX-8s, 6 RX-7 FCs, 2-3 FDs, 1 RX-2...

And at our bi weekly OC meet in Buena park, about 7-10 RX-8s and maybe a few 7s show up. You can also see the Civic meet which is in the other parking lot... maybe we should pay them a visit sometimes.

 

No, after seeing the cops out in force busting along the street I turned up on Olympic & parked about 3 blocks away. I only stayed about a hour & a half, and early so the flyers didn't come out in force. After the event I high tailed it out of there so the cops couldn't catch me.

I didn't see Brooke Burke either. Not like even if I was in the place when she came I was going to get a chance. 1) It was pitch dark in the freakin' place, & 2) she probably would have been mobbed by the millions of guys there that I would not have gotten within a 100 yards of her anyways.

 

The cops were really out to give out tickets. On top of giving the show-goers tickets, they were also checking the motors of the car show people. They were 1st checking VINs and that was an excuse to check for the intercoolers. I know I got home around 3am because of the holdup.

Oh .. that hotdog lady across from the convention center (those bacon-wrapped hotdogs), the cops gave her a hard time as well.

I missed Brooke Burke but I did see Charmaine Starr :p

Did anyone catch Steve Saleens speech w/ Dunlop tires? I didnt really listen too well but he was talking about how Dunlop was one of the first tires that he had used on his cars and how the new model Saleens will come packaged with Dunlops.

Ok, I don't blame the police for hassling with the hot dog lady... those dogs gives you the runs fast. I work in LA, and no one would eat those things if you saw how they managed the dogs.

 

man i used to eat those hot dogs every time i walked outta the club in hollywood...at 2 in the morning after x amount of drinks they smell damn good! But you will pay for it in the morning...=P

 

Damn, I guess I'm glad I didn't go. Especially glad I didn't drive my 8. Its not really modded that much yet, but it sits pretty low. Plus I'm Black, we don't seem to have good luck in LA with cops.

 

Nah, Black and import isn't as dangerous than an Asian Kid with an import. It's almost an automatic ticket here in So Cali. I remember "back in the days" when I was younger, I would get tickets just for clear corners... and no, I didn't speed either.

They would have prolly let you slide, and try to pull a kid over, since they probably think... "We'll just have to make their parents know of their hobbies..."

 

i feel you outlaw -____- ive been getting tickets up the ****. i get pulled over for JUST no front license plate, going 80 on a 70 freeway at 2am, non amber signals. :/
