That blue is wild. Do you park it near the Mission area in SF?

Which body shop do you use?

Where did you purchase your eyelids.

Thanks,
-BV

I don't park it near Mission in SF but I went to restaurant near Mission one night to eat & drink at a bar/restaurant.I used Almega Collision Center. It took them a little over a month.F**kers were hella lagging. The R-magic eyelids(waited a month for them because all JDM has to shipped directly from JApan) were purchased at www.rotaryextreme.com .Good prices & usally free shipping on small items.MS urethane kit was also purchased there.

Thanks for the info, someone posted long ago about another eight with a similar paint job parked over by a hospital near Mission Street, was wondering if that was you.

TRU, do you know how much it cost to have your car in there, and what are the steps to getting it done?

Are the cops still pulling over people for no reason, that is why I stay away from HIN at San Mateo. As well, I heard that there are haters running around the parking lot damaging cars or trying to rip off stereo systems.

Go to www.hotimportnights.com & click on car registration. It's $58.50 if you don't want to request a bigger space or private space which some highly modified cars requests their own space which won't allow you to get near it.

Well there's always cops that pull over fixed up cars & also there are those losers who always try to steal people's sh*t at the parking lot.Get there early & find good parking & stay away from area that's vulnerable for thieves.

I usually take my beater when I go. The parking lot is so full, and the spaces are so tight I don't want to take any chances.

nah, hin disspoints me everytime. I just can't phantom the fact that i have to pay 20 bucks to see cars or even the models (unless they are giving away lap dances) in that case take my whole bank account. I went to the last one and told myself thats the last hin im going to. But if you're putting your car in thats different, i be there to support ya.

I'll probably go to HIN w/ my friend's car crew. They have ways of getting people in w/out paying and waiting. So, if you wanna go lemme know.

If you want your car in the show, its probably best to join a car club I know the registration is easier because the team members know all the ins and outs.

As for getting you into the show, that's not a problem .. just PM me later ...

you need to take your car in to replace the rear taillight.

so far, i've seen this on 3 8's
-mazda should issue a recall.

it's "rear taillight condensation" i.e water in the taillight.

Damn, have you seen any tailights broken or blown cuz of this problem. My car is in a custom audio shop right now & it's stripped.I have 2 custom fibergalss enclosures that's right behind the tailights. It's going to be a bitch trying to take out & replace the tailights because I'll have to take out the bolted on enclosures out! Also will they replace them or try to fix the problem?

Tru, you'll need to get some nice *** rims if you haven't already, with some mucho expensive tires... In the range of 19" Volks/SSR/Advans/etc... Then you'll need at least 4-6 TVs in your car otherwise HIN people will laugh at you. The last show here in LA had on average 10 speakers in the rear part of the RX-8, 4-6 TV screens, at least 3 Amps, Turbo kit, Body kit, Custom paint, Full suspension improvement such as Tein/HKS Coilovers, Carbon fiber everything you can name, And if you have any replica anything, they'll laugh at you too.

Also keep in mind that I did not have any help from sponsors.Everything is sponsor by myself so far! Currently seeking sponsorship from Srmotorsports. vividracing offered me a sponsorship but it wasn't that good of an offer! My car will be set up with an interview with Car Audio & Electronics magazine once my install is done.Hopefully after that it'll help me out with better sponsorship offers.

All I know is that Team Hybrid's RX-8 has spent over 50k+ so far... and counting. Most HIN cars are at least Double the value of their cars, ... so for an Rx-8, at least 20-30k+ additions to your car. I'm pretty sure Hybrid will be there, they are always everywhere.

Lucky guys are sponsored left and right. :P

Oh and big brake kit... all of them have Wilwood/Brembo/etc etc brake systems.

The worst part is that 1st prize in anything at HIN is 100 bucks. Registration is like 55 bucks for your car. What a waste...
