Using simple online resources of how to take a turn one could increase their driving skill without ever setting foot on a track. It helps give a base point to start with and gradually work off of.
Unless i am completely wrong and the only way to learn how to drive on the track is by paying $150 a day over and over until you finally became comfortable with your car.
There is no need to draw this out its just my point of view.

Well good sir i realize you are a great driver and i respect your opinion.. However If someone wanted to learn how to drive on a track one option could be going through a particular turn over and over gradually increasing speed finding out where the breaking points are and how to overcome them..

Well...I know it's not good to run thru the mountains, and I dont recommend people to do that, it's dangerous, you should learn from the track...
But I did run downhill in Angeles Crest for a almost a year tho...
But please aware you dont use other peoples' lane.
You can practice your heel and toe skills on the hills, you can learn some skills by running hills
But for sure, you will learn much more on the track
You will learn a lot for line choosing, breaking, weight transfer, these are the things you can learn the most on the track ^^
Just buy a helmet,(SA2005 Prove), have your car checked ( Break, Oil, tires) and you are good to go ^^
There will be one event, Speedtrial event on April 5,
here is the site, http://www.speedtrialusa.com/
you can find my car in this section----February 7-8 Streets of Willow Pics ^.^
Learn you driving skills on the track is the best and the safest way !

I'm not advocating racing through the mountains at high speeds at all.
I'm just recommending for someone to learn how to start taking turns the canyons could be a good starting point. Gradually increasing seeds doesn't mean racing well it doesn't to me at least.. if you can hang through a whole road at the speed limit you will know your car pretty well...
All I was trying to tell the guy was get a feel for your car so you can start building up confidence...
P.S. sorry for the threadjack.. you may continue..
Back to the thread saw a WB in a parking lot where my Krav class is Near Olympic and Barrington. Anyone???
