I don't care if all those 8 buyers know what they have, as long as they keep sending lots of $ to Mazda and keep the Hiroshima plant running. WE know what it is, and I hope the line continues for a very long time.

Or go buy a pony car.
You should suggest to mazda to have the consumer answer 5 questions about rotories before they can buy one. :p

Here's the 5 questions that should be asked/

1) Did you know this car gets horrible gas mileage?
2) Did you know this car burns mucho oil?
3) Did you know this car floods easily?
4) Did you know this car stalls in the heat?
5) Did you know the AC in this car is inadequate?

Affirmative answers to thesed 5 questions would save Mazda dealers plenty of headaches from people coming back and complaining later.

Just being a smart@$$, I still have my 8. For now. :p

Anwsers for 1-3 = YES
Anwser for 4. If it floods in the heat it can't run, hence can't stall because it won't run.
Anwser for 5. It's HOT here. ANY A/C is inadequate

Question 6) Did you know that the engine *MAY* fail before 20k miles?:p

Can't say I agree with these. I averaged better than 20 mpg at an average speed of 81 mph with about 250 lbs of extra weight in the trunk on a round trip from Albuquerque to Scottsdale and back this past weekend. I've used less than a quart of oil on 3000 miles. I've never flooded it and it never stalled on me in any heat.. and those 116 temps this weekend were BRUTAL!! Oh, and actually the A/C worked just fine, all things considered. I LUV my Shinka!!..thankyaverymuch!

Only word of caution for this car is .."Warning: It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep this baby under the speed limit!"

Yea it was blue. I remember thinking how odd it was to see 2 uncommon colors in the same day.

I can agree with the oil and I've only seen close to 20mpg after the last flash w/ the cruise set at 70. Before that I was lucky if I hit 17mpg. Glad your car is treating you good. Going back to the dealership tomarrow for some odd tranny sounds. Already had it replaced once. Hopefully it's nothing this time around. Coming up on 19,000 miles and the first tranny was dead by 10,000. Any one else find it weird that some build dates can't make it past 10,000 w/o a prob?

maybe they were drinking heavy at some times of the year, so the build dates are not up to spec

lol. Looks like they were celebrating a little too early

Ofcourse I could not duplicate the tranny sound for the service guy this morning. I asked him to let the car cool and try it again since it's always louder in the morning. Hopefully it's nothing. Also asked him to check for signs of damage related to next months recall.

Silver spotted 7:10pm north bound Cave Creek Rd

Spotted a silver about 1/2 hour ago; you were headed north bound on Cave Creek and flying through the intersection at Deer Valley. Silver w/tinted windows was all I caght.

I flashed my lights at you but may not have done so in time for you to see. Anybody here?

I saw you :D

If anybody sees a silver 8 w/ many holes in the rocker panels, cut and chewed rear bumper cover, oem appearance pkg in the front, trunk lid missing mazda badge w/ 4 holes on the top covered w/ black electrical tape, tinted windows and wheels w/ cross drilled rotors......oh yeah, thats me.....in an ugly stage of reconstruction. just an FYI..oh yeah i still have oregon plates. regularly seen eitherin scottsdale or south central by all the salvage yards off broadway and 19th ave.

Dammit I've seen your car several times by now :D I wrote up on a napkin how to find us here at RX8Club but when I went back out your car was gone~ (again) Obviously Brennan's is as much a neighborhood place for you as for me but I can't figure out who you are. I'm thinking you're a ladie tho!

I saw you! :D
