Well, I'd guess that "Mr. C" (from Fontana) in his yellow RX8 would be game, and probably Hotrodder would go, if he's available.
We are sorta trying to set up a mini-RX8 meet at the Quakes Game in Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday August 29th - the last home game this season.
As for the route - that's the tricky part - maybe Rob Tomlin from Riverside would know some nice twisty roads he has played with his RX7 on?
Anyway - I'm always good for a ride - planning on heading up to Santa Clarita for one on 9/2 - see related thread in this section. That's a SPECTACULAR route that he has planned and if we get started early (like 7 for breakfast, and head out at 8) should be a great drive.
Why not plan on it?

The Quakes game is at 5:15 PM. We are planning on getting there around 3 PM to have some socializing time before the Bar-B-Q (special thing - it's the last home game) at 4 PM.
Come by if you can - tell the parking guys you are NOT here for the game - just to say hi to some friends, they will **probably** not charge you the $3 to park - especially if you are there as early as 3 or so - after that, it will get crowded quick.

Funny thing is that one of the roads isn't too far from you Riccio. It's called "Glendora Ridge Road" or "Glendora Ridge Mountain Road". You would take the Mountain Avenue exit and go towards Mount Baldy. Just before getting to Mount Baldy, you turn left onto Glendora Mountain Rd.
It is an amazing drive. I defy anyone here to come up with a more twisty road than this one! The corners can be very sharp and almost never ending. Very few straights. You seldom get the car above 45 mph.
A note of caution though: this is a SERIOUS drive, and is not for the faint of heart. Of course this can be driven at your own pace, but it still requires complete concentration. Several of us in the SoCal 7's club use to meet up in our 3rd Gen 7's for this drive and it was amazing. It will definitely test your brakes, shifting ability (although we would almost universally stay in 2nd gear 80% of the time) and of course, handling.
They had a fire go through a few years ago and I know the road was closed. Don't know if it has been reopened, so this would need to be confirmed.
This may not be exactly the kind of road you had in mind. Not exactly a "pleasant Sunday drive" or anything. But if you want a serious challenge, and to be able to see what your car is truly capable of, this is the road to find out.
I'd love to meet up with all of you when I get my RX-8.

Glendora Ridge Road
Ok, for the fun of it, and to help give you some perspective, I just had to post a map of Glendora Ridge and Glendora Mountain Roads that I scanned. Yes, those squiggly lines actually represent a road!

Riccio, 'Mr. C', The guys from R&R: It was nice meeting you yesterday. My wife and kids showed about 4:30 from the birthday party and she had forgot the BBQ tix on the kitchen counter trying to rush the kids out the door. Oh well. Did they end up pulling it out? Washburn didn't look too good early. We ended up sitting near our usual seats in Club 4. Talk with you later.

We wondered WHERE you were! The fajitas were pretty good - maybe they would have believed your honest face and let you in the Bar-B-Q!!!
The Quakes were ahead 3-1 top of the 9th and made 3 errors in a row to lose 5-3. How dumb is that???
Anyway - was great to meet you too - hope we can do it again sometime!

Legends on Baseline Road??? - I sorta like that one better than the one on Mountain in Upland - you can park closer and keep an eye on your car better there.
Any time - I think they have Classic Cars there on the 3rd Sunday of every month - might want to plan on any other Sunday for a meet.
We could test out Rob Tomlin's Glendora Canyon Road........

I was thinking the one on in Upland because it's closer to L.A... We would get a few more people going... I live 5 minutes away from the Baseline one.... But If you want the Baseline one... It's fine.

Either one is cool....................just you can see the cars (when parked) from inside Legends way, way better at the Rancho one (and, only about 5 miles further.....)
How's that for a murky and unclear response????? :D

You ought to come out to the 5/12 meet in San Bernardino.
I have the urethane Mazda Speed "style" kit on my Ti Grey - and I like it. Trigger sometimes comes and he has the R-Magic kit installed on his BB - and it looks really nice. Ryan is bringing his "amazing" FD - with newly installed Pineapple Motor.
KC will have his RX8 with newly installed goodies, and Vipers has new wheels and who knows what else (hard to keep up!).
Should be a really nice meet! (Go to the sticky - near the end is the posting on the 3/12 meet) :p
