Japan Touring Car Championship (JGTC) Dec 18-19, Cal Speedway Fontana
The JGTC series features production cars such as Mazda RX-7 (RE Amemiya FD), Toyota Supra (TOMS), Honda NSX (RAYBRIG), Nissan Fairlady Z and the Subaru WRX. The series is not just about Japanese manufacturers though. The JGTC also represents BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and purpose built sport racers such as Vemac, Mosler and Autobacs Garaiya.
The SoCal RX Club will be there in force! This is your chance to represent Rotary Power at the first ever GTLive, at the California Speedway in Fontana, December 18-19th. For $65 you not only get to see GTLive for the entire weekend, but all of the following:
:Special VIP parking (SoCal RX Club Corral)
:Priority registration for Autocross, Dyno Challenge and Audio Challenge
:Participation in the Fan Lap around the competition course
:Exclusive SoCal RX Club Laps
:Event T-shirt
Saturday and Sunday are full of attractions such as the 3 hour main event, Time attacks, and the Vendor Midway. For full JGTC event details please visit: www.jgtcusa.net

YOU MUST mention the "SoCal RX Club" when calling.
You have until October 31st to secure your spot in the So-Cal RX Club Corral, so don't delay. Weekend, Parking and Lap Passes will be mailed via U.S. Postal Service after 10/31.

Esso Ultraflow Supra 0wnZ!!! But too bad the Z took over for the Skylines... The Xanavi Nismo Skyline GTR was AWESOME looking & (like SRT4) fast!!!

As much as I would LOVE to go... I run a retail store so that means Nov.- early Jan, no weekends off... evAr...
I would totally recommend anyone who has the time off to go though!!! I've seen the races on DVD & they are just AMAZING!!!
The way the races are run means EVERYONE is fairly competitive!!! Top finishers in the races are given weight in the form of ballasts to (in theory) slow them down albeit fractionally but slowed nonetheless & then the cars running back of the pack can (in theory) catch up & sometimes are allowed to modify their cars further to allow more power/downforce, etc to help them compete.
Awesome system & I've never seen a race that was a complete "blow out" by one car.

No additional charge for parking.
The cost for the Autocross, Dyno and Audio Challenge have not been determined yet. Costs are expected this Friday and I'll post then.
The Autocross is going to be run by NASA.
Dyno and Audio Challenge will be run by Primedia.

Oh Man, they just announced that BOTH events are going to happen on the same day, .. thought they were just going to delay the D1 onto another date... but now they are going to happen on the same weekend.. ack!
So tempted to go... need a place to stay too.. so much hassle

I'm actually in Cerritos, the drive is going to kill me.. and besides, I tend to fall asleep on a long day out... Any info about how many people have signed up to attend as part of So Cal 7's club?

Just a few more days too go... make sure you sign-up before the 31st. There will be 20+ signed up by the end of this week!
