LA National Crest HW: a cop hang-out place
It's been awhile since I took my car there. So this morning I took my car up there but I didn't realize there were so many cops up there it was scary. There are also a lot of sign of "speed enfored by radar" for 45mhp. I don't know how effective the radar since I must have done quite a bit above 60 a few times.
I wonder where would they hide the radar detector anyway since I didn't see any a long the way. there were nothing but trees and hills on both sides of the road.

If Angeles Crest, I live just off of it, less than 5 min away. By radar enforced I believe they mean the area sometimes has officer's with radar detectors. They have the sign around where I live also and every once in a while there will be one waiting. If you go up there with fast intents, the main place I see them cath people is the long straight away w/passing lane about halfway through. If youre a bit paranoid (like I am) just watch for the blind turn outs, I've seen them there before. All in all there don't seem to be too many and I've only seen one person getting a ticket before.
On Angeles Crest you can either go all the way north or take the turn onto Big Tujunga Canyon. This drive is a bit more secluded so less chance of cops (did see a bike pulled over once though). If you want to try something more aggressive head over to Azusa Canyon. Take the 210 east and exit on Mountain (I believe). Head north untill you reach the canyon section. Keep following untill you reach a bridge and turn right on the bridge. If you've reached the Off-Road course for trucks you've gone a couple miles too far. After the bridge take a right on all of the forks. You'll know when you get to the good road but watch out for bikers, super twisty drive + banked turns = heaven.

As for the radar dectector I guess it would cost a lot of money to install a network of detectors so probably I hope what you said is true.
Had a short dual with a bmw 3' but I think my G35 had more grip overall. Either that or the 3 driver didn't push really hard.
I'll try the new route you suggested next time.
