Well, since this thread was originally about getting my windows tinted I figure an update is in order.
Got my windows done by TnTWindows as recommended by FE3P
The guy came over to my house and did all 5 windows in about 1 hour 45 minutes.
I went with 5% in the back and 15% up front.
Here are some pics...

Did you get any shots of mine last weekend. If you did, you may want to post it. I have 30-35% all the way round...could show people the differences to help them with their tint selections.
...oh, and your car was shiney....all that work paid off.

This picture shows four 8's in a row, alternating between 35% and those with tints similar to Jedi's.
The Black one in front is mine, and the other black one (3rd car down), both have similar tint, lighter than jedi's. The Titanium and Red (4th one down) have tint similar to Jedi's. I know it aint the best picture, but I think it shows you the difference. I wish I had a better shot with my windows up. I'll check and post it if I find one.
Just wondering, did you check into tinting the sunroof. I was told that this can not be tinted beyond what the factory did for us since it is not tempered glass. Having more tint on this flat, sun drenched window would cause for the glass to fail/shatter from the heat absorbed with the black tint material. And since it is not tempered, it would be prone to shatter instead of collapse in one big piece. Just an interesting note I think.

While I was getting mine tinted the guy did mention that it would NOT be a good idea to tint it. He gave me a much shorter explanation but I'm pretty it's because of what you stated above.
Would you actually want to get it tinted?
I like not having it tinted because if I'm driving with the sunroof open, it gives off the illusion that my windows aren't tinted as dark as they acutally are.
