btw i think your wheels are my favorite for the rx8 of all time, not on a red 1...but for blue i think they were....just amazing looking
thanks man, i love my wheels and when i was at the body shop he was like you may want to have a think about ordering different wheels, i did for a second and was like nahhhh. I got a good deal on mine though, i paid 400 a wheel cus the guy used them on a demo car for a show. They didnt really drive anywhere but he gave me a great price cus of it.

lol i agree some ppl who say lose the strakes, or lose this....i understand constructive stuff like drop it or clear corners but other stuff that other ppl are proud of ppl should leave alone.
Like that one dude who has the kenstyle kit at the moment, i like the rear but dont like the front, i just commented on the rear and i dont need to comment on the front cus i dont have anything positive to say, he likes it so why burst his bubble

all my parts on my car have brands. im talking bout when people do this

for example, the point of buying a expensive wheels is for weight right. take these 2 brands for example rota wheels being the cheaper brand and work wheels being the high end brand.these are actual weight of the wheels my cousin bought the work emotion xd9 in 17x7 and you guys know that i have the rota d2's in 18x8 and 18x9(or a good set of copied wheels what ever you want to call them)

brand name work wheel= 25lbs it cost him $1800 for 17's

my cheap wheels (or knockoffs what ever you want to call it)= 20lbs and my rims are bigger, wider, and lighter and it only cost me $600 for a staggerd set and it looks better than his $1800 wheels!!!!

so whats the point of buying brand name stuff??? sorry but i dont like being played for a fool!!!! why spend almost twice as much when you can get more paying less???? just cause you have brand name stuff doesnt mean your car looks good, you can spend all that money and still have a shitty looking car....
gotta play your cards right!!!!

AND THIS

but if i could get 20hp for $400 with a cheap brand and the brand name also puts out 20hp but for $1k.... why spend $1K?

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding Mikes constructive criticism.
If your going FI @ $6,K+ and getting 150+hp cool.
But wheels are wheels man. If you hit that pot hole you might not bend your wheel but you might lose a tire. So what now? Your out a $300.+ Falken FK452 or RT615 tire!

and the thing is mike, you dont know the start to finish process of how your wheel is made, and you dont know the start to end process of how an expensive wheel is made, items are expensive for a reason, its not always the brand name alone that makes it expensive. The bags i have at work are like 2000 to 4000 dollars, everyone knows that you can get rip offs at the swap meat for 100 dollars. Youd probably say that its just the brand name why they are so expensive too, but its not its the work that goes into it.
I just wouldnt buy a cheaper wheel cus i wouldnt trust a company who copies other peoples work. Thats just how i feel

and you dont know the start to finish of the expensive wheel, its not like they made it in front of you. you dont know if there ripping you off.you only hear by word of mouth. the stupid thing is that i dont get why everyone thinks its good quality cause its made from japan... well the reason why guys are paying so much for work, ssr, volks, ect.... it cost more cause its being imported from a different country. dude if you go to japan you can get those wheels for $600 a set.

i dont think theyre good cus theyre made in japan, you think a name like volk or enkei or advan and all those got their name overnight? no it took years of making quality products to get there, thats why their a brand name and thats ppl turst them.
In 1986 Enkei actively became involved in motors ports by supplying 3-piece wheels to the F1 team, Minardi. In 1995 Enkei became an official sponsor for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes which took championships home in 1998 and 1999. Enkei also supplies wheels to Mitsubishi Ralliart, which competes in the World Rally Championship (WRC), The team won four consecutive championships from 1996 though 1999. Enkei also supplies wheels to teams that race in the Japan GT Championship (JGTC), Super Taikyu and Drifting events
why would a racing team use a wheel like that if its just the same as the knock offs? why do racing teams use these wheels dude? come on

I'm for being a wise consumer, spending MY hard-earned money to where I feel its good. I don't think bad of the brand name stuff, but if there is a comparable item that is similar to the brand name... i'm open to it.

I need to chime in on this... Anthony, I'm sure you've seen (or perhaps own) designer brand clothing like True Religion, Seven, COH, Diesel, etc. where a pair of jeans are easily priced close to $200 a pair... where are they made? The Philippines, Guam, Indonesia, etc... made in a typical factory. What justifies them for setting the price? Don't get me wrong, there are companies that focus on quality and can't be easily "copied" and pass as an authentic product. Lets even use bags/purses as an example... Louis Vuitton purses are top notch... there are MANY people who try and replicate them but look like crap... but in the Philippines, there are a select few "replicas" that are made so well that it is hard to tell from the original... enough that the Philippine government REQUIRED all returning tourists to provide a valid receipt for the purses before leaving the country. JUST because they are brand name it doesn't mean that the off-brands aren't up to par in quality.
