it was a good meet, i got lost in the way back though, i really didnt know where i was then i went back to the bar to find mike and jason and they were gone but i figured it out. It was cool tho, nice guys and i seriously only got one pic that was worth showing, i only took 6 and they were took at night and not clear, but if i was mike id have this as my sig

 

Well, first I wanna say that I'm glad that the official RX-8 meets have begun.. Sounds like you guys had a blast, and got a chance to meet everyone. The meets will get bigger every time, also can't wait to see some pictures.. But, I remember when i first started this thread, there were barelly any respondes. Basically the thread was going dead, just like all the Vegas threads before. This Vegas thread has the most respondes and views than any other. I held the thread strong, try to get all the locals to post & meet. But, anyways.. My main point is hopefully we can have big meets, and hopefully we can do them weekly or something. Also, I updated the member list on the front page, now you can click on the user's name it will let them view your public profile. Nothing to exciting, but a lot easier to contact people or just view their profile in general. Besides that, here are some events that are coming up.. Great pictures Mike, looks like a good small meet. I'm surprised Travis and Gilbert didn't show to the meet, even Jason and Nick didn't show. But, the meets should get bigger every time, I should get my current RX8 back on the road soon.

Looks like I missed a great meeting. I was doing a convention so it held me up. Count me in for another meet here shortly. Im helping a friend move to canada from florida next weekend so ill be out of town then.

friend had engine problems on his sr at the spot and i was out late.

 

Sorry guy's I didn't make it. I had a no start problem Sat. morning and it ended up being the starter motor. I just got it back today with a new starter and battery. Mazda picked up the tab and everything is working good. They also did an emisions update on it. So if haven't had this done get with Mazda. They changed the plugs and did some other stuff to it.

Is there going to be a meet this weekend for the 8's?

 

Where is all the rest of the pictures that people took? Did anyone have a problem with the meet location or anything? Was it a good spot to meet or what?

 

yeah the meet was fun, it was good to meet the other 3 guys =) hopefully there will be more 8's next time.

 

btw who will be attending sevenstock X this year? i hope im not the only one representing vegas.

 

The meets should grow bigger everytime, I should be attending meets as soon as I get the RX8 fixed. Besides that, I know Phil is going to Sevenstock X.. I was gonna go this year, but I just plan to go next year. Hopefully by next year, I'll have my wide body installed, rims, and perhaps the s/c.

 

I will be going down early Friday morning. There are several 7s going from Vegas Rotary. My car should be in the pits area (vendor area). Look for a black 8 with the hood up, a Pettit s/c in it and Nevada plates. Stop by and ask for me, say hi and I'll buy you a soda and boar you to death talking about rotaries. One of the sponsors of the event is Dan from Las Vegas and he should be posting about his intention to go also.

If there are a few cars going down, it would be fun to caravan to the hotel. Still plenty of time to work that out if there is any interest.

im so pissed my battery just died on me and my 8 wont start

 

I don't see what year your 8 is but read the TSBs on the forum. If yours qualifies, there is a free replacement battery in there. I got a new battery and starter early on. Take a copy of the TSB with you to the dealer cuz some how they can't seem to find them. Our local Mazda Dealer sucks.

i thought for sure you were going to be there jason, that sucks about your car, now mine is doing the same thing. Did mazda coem out to your car?

 

No, I had it towed to them. They coverd the towing because it was coverd in the warranty. They had it for two days and they did some other stuff to it....

It sucked that I couldn't make it. Next time I will be good..... I hope...lol

Finaly got my rims on my car, but my style rims didn't accept the sensors and I ended up with flat tires, only 1 tire survived. So I had to bust out the mazda tire repair kit, to use the air compressor. I told the guys forget about the sensor, just give me the regular valve stems. I never needed a car to tell me how much tire pressure I got. but all in all, the wheels look great!! .. look forward to the next meet .. hope we can get like 10 8's to show..

If anyone ever wants to get rid of their OEM rims please let me know because I could really use them..
