I do have a party boat & jet ski boat so there would be enough boats for a small group. My idea is to take a weekend consisting of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and clean up on Monday at Cottonwood Cove on Lake Mohave. I would like to keep this among the members only (it could get out of hand).

DIRECTIONS:
[I]For those of you who may not know where Lake Mohave is or Cottonwood Cove are - Just drive toward Boulder City, turn to follow signs to Searchlight (Needles, Laughlin) on Highway 93, turn left at the sign in Searchlight (Cottonwood Cove Road) drive an additional 12 miles to reach the park.

Rules that will apply:
1. If you drink then you can't operate any of my water craft. You can ride but not drive.
2. You must supply your own legal flotation devise (vest or equal) and you must have one to even ride in a boat. Inexpensive ones available at Walmart or Bass Pro Shop.
3. Children are welcome but must be managed by their parents and will wear their foliation devices at all times when in or on a watercraft. Small children are welcome on the deck boat but discouraged from the jet ski boat. Please see rules in main posting.
4. I don't want to be a policeman or your guardian but when using, riding upon, riding in any water craft my word will be law. I don't want any one hurt on my watch.
5. I do have water skis, singles and doubles and all are welcome to use them. Remember that alcohol and water don't mix to well. Your welcome to bring some of your own equipment.
6. Each person attending will supply their own food, drink and camping equipment - I will pay for the fuel to operate all the water craft but may require some assistance filling them up. I will also pay for a boat slip or slips to dock at so daily assistance with the boats will be kept to a minimum.
Lets see Anthony, Mario, Jason MX, Armen, Gill & Annette have commited to coming. I will set the date on my trip to Laughlin and post it in advance so those of you that need to get time off can do so.
7. We will have one docking space for the deck boat. Someone could sleep on the deck boat if need be as there is a lot of space on the boat (ask Jason). If there is room at the dock I will park the other boat there otherwise I will need assistance taking it out of the water daily.
8. My partners asked me not to bring the jet skis because of liability if someone gets hurt. So currently there will be two boats available. Jet skis can be rented in Searchlight if you wish.
OK THE DATE FOR THE COTTONWOOD COVE CAMPING, BOATING AND FUN TIME IS SET. JUNE 5,6,7,8,9 ARE THE DAYS OF THE MEET. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE THERE FOR ALL THE DAYS BUT I WILL BE THERE AND HAVE THE BOATS AVAILABLE DURING THOSE DAYS
More to follow on this trip - now is the time to ask your questions.
For those of you wishing to come to the Cottonwood Cove meet, presently the following are available.
1. Dirt camping at the camp sites are on a first come first serve basis. Can't tell if they will be full. If full you can camp on the day beach we will use as our central point but you are stuck there after dark.
2. There are currently 17 spots open for full service RV spots (I will be in one of these in my motor home)
3. There are small motel rooms available for that weekend if you would like. The resort has no internet connection and rentals are only by phone. See WWW.CottonwoodCove.com for phone numbers.
4. There may be a small ($5.00) fee for entering the park. The park service may charge $3-$5 per night to camp at the marina area. All other questions will be answered by PM

I WISH TO MAKE A CHART AND POSTING SHOWING WHOM IS ACTUALLY COMING, WHAT DAY YOUR COMING, WHAT DAY YOUR LEAVING AND YOUR ESTIMATE ARRIVAL TIME. If you would PM me and give your plans I would appreciate it.

You wanna come tomorrow before the meet, that would be fine with me.. What time you got in mind?

Any case, both AJ and Anthony have offered me a ride to the meet tomorrow, so I was just thinking they could both come to my place, introduce themselves and go to the meet together.

Also, I will bring a few of my parts to the meet tomorrow, to see if anyone is interested in purchasing them. I will bring both of Greddy strut bars, my brand new Nology spark plug wires (red), and possibly my NGK spark plugs.

I played all my life as well. I started coaching when I had kids and haven't played much. I started playing with the guys in an adult league and have had a blast... If we start to get behind, we just start kicking the ball at the people not paying attention... It is so much fun... I will check and see when sign ups are and you need to join with me...

I've always wanted to coach, but then I figured I'd probably start coaching once I have kids myself.. I haven't played for a while myself because of my bad habbit, smoking.. But, I'm starting to give that up and as I said before, I've been starting to practice more often and get back into condition. Let me know about the sign ups and keep me updated about it.

There should be a good turnout - The only member that will not show is Mike, he's going to Disneyland. You left off Albert who also confirmed.

I wonder if Gary will show up, he doesn't post too often anymore. Also, I wonder if the other Jason will show up, someone needs to call them today and let them know about the meet. I also wonder if Jim (The Bark) will be able to show up tonight as well.. Would be a great little turn out!

I have not yet picked a time for this so I am taking a consensus of members to even consider this as an outing for us. I am considering this for late May or early June so that it will not be too hot but the water should be warmer and before the wind usually starts. It will take some time on my part to get all the stuff down there so I would like everyone to answer me quickly so that I can make my plans. This is not set in stone but we do not want to be just ferrying people from the day beach to the marina all day - Let's have some fun.

I will advise, I figure that it will take a couple of us to get everthing done and presently Jason is helping. I am sure we will need additional assistance.

I am a planner that likes to lay out an event (job) and figure everything out on paper so that all will turn out correctly. Some times weather or unforseen problems pop up and make it look like no planning went into it. With an event like this the only planning should be logistics - getting boats, motorhome, vehicles to the site with time to spare, and keeping every one informed of who is coming and when (cuz if you don't show the phones are going to be busy looking for you). This event should be spontanious so we all can have fun and not feel pressed - this is like a mini vacation (I take several during the year).

I would love to, but I'm not sure yet. Hockey playoffs started this week, and my Pens play this evening. The game probably won't get over with until 7pm, so I'm not quite sure yet.
