I don't buy Kool-Aid
What’s up everyone~ Brand new RX-8 owner here and recently only moved to Las Vegas a little over a year ago. I'm current stationed here at Nellis Air Force Base and just drove out to California to make my first real car purchase. I’ve always wanted an RX-8...Always had an emotional attachment since the car reminds me so much of my very first car (Ford Probe / Mazda MX-6) Got it in pretty much the same color too :P I don't want to modify the RX-8 too much...I really like the stock look with all the official Mazda appearance packages anyway. If I do anything to this RX-8 it would have to be reasonably reversible. I might get a used 2009 next-gen RX-8 in like 2010 once the price drops so I can afford one~
Just wondering what's going on with the LV crew. Wouldn't mind finding out when the next get together or whatever is to get a feel of what others have done to their RX-8s and just get more familiar with the car in general. I am somewhat in the market for either 1-4 OEM Mazda chrome rims (in decent shape if anyone has any) or just entirely different rims in general. (One of the rims is starting to peel bad, the others just have a lot of corrosion on them). I'm also trying to find an official 2004 Mazda RX-8 car book/manual since the car didn't come with one. So far I’ve just done the basics...20% window tint on all sides except the front, clear corners, and every official Mazda appearance package possible (came with the car) This is probably as far as I will take it.
Don't ask me what the thing on the front is...I can't tell if it is custom from the previous owner or it's an actual Mazda option. It actually has nothing to do with the front license plate either it's definitely just an appearance item. I don't know I kinda like it...I'm somewhat indifferent...it definitely looks unique but I can't tell if it looks cool or it looks cheap. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to get it off to see if I like it on better or not but I didn't have much luck there...opinions anyone? :o
I posted more pictures in the "Calling all Winning Blue Metallic" Thread. This is pretty much as clean as the car is possibly going to get. I spent like 5 hours doing: clay bar, pre wax, wax, tire scrubbing, rim scrubbing, interior detailing, rubber scrubbing, touch up paint’in, etc.

sooo yeah i was waiting at the half shell from 7:40 to 8:40, i didn't see anyone, i went inside and looked. did the meet actually happen??? i'm sorry i was late. i took a nap during the day and over slept. sorry if i missed anything!

Friday and Saturday nights are bad nights for a food meet. Everyone goes out on those nights.....You could be in Cali on Friday night with a reservation and still have a 2 hour wait. A reservation here meens that they will get to you before closing.

where did u guys parked, i parked, went inside and looked then didn't see anyone so then i drove around that huge @ss parking lot looking for more 8s, i didn't see any. so after a while i drove around to all the other little restaurants around. i thought u guys may have changed your spot cuz it was really crouded. then after i didn't find anyone i ended up giving myself a treat and bought a huge ice cream from the soft served place in the same area as the bar. It was called U-swirl. that place is REALLY good, i'd recommend it for my friends. omg i want more lol

I will pass it on to another member as soon as I get the AccessPort (Armin has first Dibs) as long as he gets his 8 road worthy.
Armin- thanks for helping me throw on the MCM even though you gave me rusty tools and heart ache all he kept saying was, "why are you playing?" then after 30 minutes of struggling he would run inside and get me the right tools for the job and then he'd say, "I have all kinds of tools"

I had to mess with you at first, it wouldn't be any fun if I hadn't done it.. It would of taken so long to install that, if it was just you by yourself doing it. Even with all the instructions that you had!! 
But, it was a pretty simple install and I'm always glad to help out!
