5/4 and 5/25 are the only days it will work for me. - Gone racing on the 11th and in Laughlin on the 18th.

Just set a date and those that can make it will. Offering up dates is a never ending disaster.

Yes it does appear that you would have to get the flange changed on one end, sorry I was reminded that mine was changed when I changed to a Racing Beat system and thus that is what is on there now.

I have no problem taking it back - I would ask that you please bring it back to my house or office. I only offered it up so that those of you on a limited budget could have some cheep mods.
On the dyno in LA this last weekend:
Stock cat back exhaust with stock cat: 117 - 125
Stock cat back exhaust with mid pipe (or supercat): 120-135
So you do gain some hp and sound with the supercat

Yes I found my money it was in the side of my door but the PlastiX I still have to look for hit me up after work.

brakes are pretty simple too, once u take off the wheel you can pretty much just look at it and figure out how to take out the pads. I used to do it with my dad on his older cars when i was younger. easy stuff.
So are you volunteering you services. Just once?

I never use a filter wrench I use me hands and put the oil in a bucket then take it down to Autozone. I flush the oil everytime and keep up on it. It looks like gold. If anyone ever wants there oil changed just let me know

The brakes suck with out power tools ask me how I know.

Tanabe FTW! and yeah Miracle Mile and PF Changs is for the suck!
I will call you next time to do the oil.

Jordan just said the brakes were easy

Tanabe is that what you got because I like the the stance of your 8.

Any good chinese restaurants out there? I'm talking Monterey Park, Alhambra type of food.

CONGRATS on the raise Gil!

Are you just changing the break pads or are changing the disc too? If just the pads then figure an hour and half if the discs are being changed the figure 3-4 hour and if your going to rebuild the calipures then it's an all day + job. I don't do the actual work any more but I will be right there to show you what to do if it's pads or pads and disks. If you want to do the calipures then I think I would take it some where as the time it take is not worth the savings. If you want to do them this weekend let me know and get your pads early. I have all the tools so that will make it easy. Let me know

Don't worry about it. I don't need to sell it. I have mods I haven't even put on the car yet. When I have some mods that get removed from my car I just like to pass them on so that others can enjoy doing some mods. Some one who wants 3-5 hp will come along and get it.

AJ, if you come by to do the breaks, we will also do the hood mods so you will not over heat as easy.

Anet knows her **** ,weight is a factor...if you care about speed that is but if looks is your thing then those are some nice looking rims...as for the oil change I read the DIY and it's pretty simple (I've done it on other cars) but I don't have a garage anymore and I didn't want to put Armin through all that since he might not have the tools for it ie. the filter wrench and the disposal of the oil and messing up his driveway) I would've like to have done it at your (Gil/Annette) place for the first time just to see how it's done and not spill oil everywhere.

But the brakes I think I will have to have him try to do it since it doesn't seem as messy and it would be a good learning experience for both of us since I have never change out brakes myself.

I need to lower my car soon. Nestle Cookie store in Miracle Mile sux. PF Changs kinda sux as well.
PFChangs is just overpriced chinese food...not even real chinese food...the "hole in the wall" places are usually the best.

Damn Phil your the best, can Mario come and change his break pads too and Armin wants to come and help out since he's never done it and it'll probably be faster with us helping out one another and you can just point us in the right direction.

Where can I get some inexpensive breakpads for the 8? I will try Autozone since they give the military a discount.

The hood mod is a great idea, most of my mods are based on engine longevity and optimum performance N/A.

I won't be getting the Accessport ($700 ) anytime soon so I will definitely be using the MCM for a while and I can already hear the fans blowing a lot more saving my engine. But once I do get it I will give it to a needy rx8 member just like myself I but won't sell it for profit. That's why I thought Armin should get dibs on it because he's hard up. J/k Thanks again.

Yeah, I will come along and help.. I'm 98% certain that I can change them out, I just don't have a tool to put them back in and compress them. BTW, I really wouldn't need the MCM since I have a vented hood, and a lot of my heat already escapes as I'm driving or when I'm parked. Someone else should just have it because they would need it more than I would.. Also, what do you mean because I'm hard up?
