^^^ Actually I've seen many girls do it for a lot less...Ever heard of a little show called Girls Gone Wild, or have you been to Mardi Grais or New Orleans on any given weekend.

Just saw the note posted about BWW--there's one next to me (Flamingo/Haulipai). Sadly, their wings aren't that great and I'm watching my hour and a half glass figure (hey, I went to college in Buffalo so I know what a damn good wing is!).
Question re: stop and go driving in rising temps. Last summer, I sensed my car lacking some oooomph in the low rpms after driving stop and go for a bit. Once incident in particular was in August. I drove from work (Town Center in Summerlin) to Charleston/15 area for a doctor's appt. On the way back, the car started to have that lack of power feeling, and the idle was a bit rough. At one point, I thought the car was going to stall and it made a weird sound as I went through an intersection making a turn.
I got back to work and a couple of hours later, it didn't seem to have any problems. Today I had another similar experience, mainly with the lack of power--it just feels like it takes longer for the car to wind up and there's some minor hesitation. This happened on my way back to work from lunch, so I basically drove 6 miles home from Town Center/Haulipai to Flamingo Haulipia. It wasn't until on the way back around Sahara that I started to experience this.
I recently had the latest flash done and have about 18,500 miles on the car. Most of my driving seems to entail stop and go back and forth to work several times a day. On the way home from work today, no problems, so it appears to be something that occurs after driving 20+ minutes in stop and go traffic on warm days.
I know the car is under warranty (it's an '06/manual), but my concern is that she's a gonna fail this summer in the high temps if I do more stop and go driving (I hate them damn lights all up and down Haulipai, too--they need to be synchronized!). Anyway, has anybody experienced this phenom as well and was there anything done to remedy the situation, or, gasp, did it eventually lead to an engine replacement?
By the way, I had my A/C on both times this has occured, but I can't imagine it affecting the power that much.

Jim (The Bark), we live close. I would prefer you try the dealer thing first but if they will not test it, then I will assist you with the test at a later date. Mike's bud should do it for you. If you have low compression then that means the engine is ready to expire. If it's just carbon then a whole lot of redlineing and premix are in your future.

I'm keeping a journal with specifics (distance, temps, even number of stops) to see if there are any trends. It drove fine this morning and fine just now coming home for lunch. I want to get as much info as possible, if it does occur again, that way they'll have more to work from.
As of the moment, it's really only happened a couple of times, and yesterday was the first since last August, so the temps and distance with stop and go traffic seem to be the only factors. If it does happen again in the next day or two, I'll definately take it to People's on Friday--already spoken to Chris the Service Advisor about it a month ago when I had a new battery put in.
Interestingly, he said he drove the new 2009 model for a few days and said it had more ooomph to it. I inquired that, if I did have an engine replacement problem, what would be the chances of getting the new engine in it. He couldn't say for sure, but to me it seems logical, not to mention one could probably make a legal arguement, too (ie, you have a known problem with countless replaced engines, some of which end up being replaced themselves; you make minor changes for a new model year with supposed fixes in mind, but continue to replace engines with older, problematic ones?)

Thanks for the info, Phil. I had the compression check done during the recall (last year?), but sort of doubted how useful it would be at that paricular point since the car had less than 10,000 miles on it.
