I do, with 20,000 miles on it and it runs fine. Why what's wrong?

I use to go straight, but with half an inch clearance.. Just barelly enough to make it up!

Nope, no one ever told me.. But, that's one of my reasons for not lowering the car before, because if I had lowered it I would scrape all the time! I remember though, the first time I got the kit painted, not even 5 mins from leaving the body shop, I took off flying and hit a dip and scrapped real hard.

no one showed me how to drive a lowered car, but its all common sense after awhile. if you ever see me and mike drive we drive in an angle everytime we go over a speedbump or back up from a drive way.

I don't see a difference in driving at an angle or straight, to me it's the same thing.. As long as your front end can clear the speedbump or driveway, everything else should be fine.

you dont see the difference armin because like you said you've never driven a lowered car!!!! its also going to depend how low the car is also. so dont expect you to understand!! will discuss this when we have another meet.

1. No, but ask your question anyway. We have one that travels to Vegas on a regular schedule.
2. Coil wear depends somewhat on your style of driving. Heat is also an enemy. I always keep extra coils at the house. If your not having any problems right now, wait a couple of weeks and order new style coils from BHR. If there is some problem now post the problem and let's see if we can fix it.

By driving at an angle you do not throw all the shock of an obstruction or incline over the whole front end only the section that encounters it first and then has a chance to recover. Geometry takes over if the obstruction is higher or the incline steeper that the suspension

Yeah, I get that part.. People do that without dropped cars. But, my point is that if your front end, for example like my body kit is too low to clear the speedbump/driveway. Me driving at an angle wouldn't even matter, if I can't even clear the speed/driveway.

I just got my car checked out by mazda, they did the latest reflash, de-carb, and compression check. They said the compression check was one of the best yet. I wanted to know if there was a local independent mechanic because I want it checked out by someone who really knows whats going on. I plan on going FI at the end of the year and don't want to start on an engine that could be on its way out. Im already on the pre-order list for BHR's coil kit and just purchased BHR's radiator. Thats why I was asking about the coil thing to see if it was going to be that time anyways.

Thanks

Hey Phil have you had any issues with Petitt's SC? I am going back and forth from these three FI:
Pettit's
M&M's
Esmeril
I have done countless hours of research on all of these. Any advice?
Thanks TJ

out of the three, esmeril and MM is the best option. the greddy kit won't let you go to 9k rpm so i don't really see the point. and MM does great work and will help you personally. On the other hand, esmeril makes a FANTASTIC kit that has top notch quality. I would go with esmeril i had the money.

for real guys. i don't want to lower my car because its going to create more of a hassle and worry when going over bumps. I'd rather just go over speed bumps, go up parking garage ramps, go up my driveway...and other things without worrying about damaging my front lip at all. My car already handles 1230982 times better than my brothers mustang. so i really don't see the need other than aesthetic reasons.

Ivory,

I can probably setup the car with universal air suspension, lolz....

That will provide for variable spring rate and adjustment to get up driveways and such.

The days of the not so well performing air bags are gone.

Check out some of the racing done in japan with this setup on FD's.

http://www.universalairsuspension.co...ery.php?cid=21

FYI, stance has released some RX8 coilovers that should be VERY WELL priced. I'm waiting to get the first set in a month.

i'll run a special promo for the vegas peeps if interested.

hmm sounds tempting. but i don't plan to spend more than 700-800 on a whole suspension set up. atm its just not very important to me.

oh and i have a question.

is getting springs and shocks the same as getting coilovers. as in...do coil overs replace your springs and shocks?
