pm one of the venders on this site for a price.
I did all the research and shopping for my car, i still have more mods to come but im trying to pay the car off first because they will be pricey. I want to do the esmeril racing e85 kit and also their turbo kit, if not their turbo kit i want to do a one off. But the thing thats bothering me is i dont know anyone out here to tune our cars.
My last car was highly modified too, though it was a lame car to start with. I had a scion tc, unfortunately it was auto-tragic. But i did alot of astetics and then when i got bored with a pretty looking slow car, we turbo'd it. I miss the sound of my super squeeker.
This car is actually my first m/t

Ok so your a tuner chick from your sig you have a nice setup...Yeah TC's are more like the Honda Civics welcome to the big leagues. j/k No, but seriously the esmeril turbo would be sweet. The tuner wouldn't be too hard, if your willing to go out of state. Plenty of tuners in Cali. just 3 hours away.
If your a Cali lover like AJ and Flip, the Orange County 8 club sponsors a "dyno days" get together where Jeff will tune your car on the dyno. We could arrange that here if there were enough Cobb's and people needing tunes.
I know Dave "chickenwafer" personally and he is a great guy and a good mechanic but he is just learning about tuning. He still consults Mazda Maniac.

I was actually strongly considering the cobb ap. I don't want to do the whole email me a map thing, so i want to go with an in person tune and also want to make sure that its not just an open source, that its done on an actual dyno. I talked to Doug at DD a while ago and he said he could tune them, that he did another person's 8 that did the greddy turbo kit to theirs.. I dont know that person otherwise id ask how good that turned out.. anyways, these are all dreams far away... tryin to get the car paid off first before i jump into this path again, i did all this to my tc and found my self havin a hell of a time getting rid of it all when i got rid of the tc, i dont want to make any mistakes again. the tc was so damn slow, even turbo.... and then the thing im worried about is heat soak, our engines arent very thermo efficient and turbos tend to put out mucho heat... i wonder how that's going to work out..... considering upgrading the radiator before i even step into this territory.
you can talk to the owner of the 8 that tuned his 8 at dd. look for him on the lv auto x site. he wrecked his 8 at state-line event right after he tuned it last year.

Can't comment on the guy Doug as I never heard of him. There are several "Cobb tuners" out there that have never tuned an 8 with a Cobb. Most of them have tuned Subies and think they can do 8s. Not saying that of this guy but watch your rear end. Your call, your car...........Heat is the rotary enemy and FId 8s creates extreme heat. Do all you can to get rid of it. Hope to see you at the meet tomorrow evening......
Yeah that's why I wanted to get input from you guys, the more advice the better. But like I said, the turbo is a far away dream. Hope to have my 8 back tomorrow, might not be clean because I don't think ill have time to wash if after picking it up after work. Kinda bummed I didn't get it back today.... tired of being drivin around in Ryans FB..........
Cool then you can stay NA like the rest of us. The heat out here is gonna kill your rotary, even more if you are FI. I know this guy Rick that came highly recommended that did my buddy's turbo http://www.ricksrotary.com/ in Pleansanton.
List of SoCal Rotary Tuning and Performance shops

Your going to miss the meet tonight? At least call Armin and remind him. You go to Cali so often that Cali is thinking of naming a section of the road after you .......... oh yea and of course tax you for it.

Hey guys, I have a buyer for my bumper but UPS wants over $200 to ship it. Anyone know of any other shipping options I might be able to take advantage of. If I can get it shipped for under $100 that would be best. I might be able to get it boxed for $40.
