For the ones that want to stay off the strip: I just confirmed I can do coned off parking!
You will not lose your spot unless another 8 takes the spot lol
How it works: Cone in spot. Remove cone and park. Place cone behind car. When you leave the spot place a cone there so no one piston takes your spot.
Our back lot is now walled in by a 10' brick wall with tons of light and the security guard is a ex RX-8 owner. PM me for room info

Hey Phil, sorry for the delay, we're going to switch out the pedals this upcoming Sunday. Last weekend we got busy because Ryan ended up buying a turbo II. Also, I requested off the time for the quad state meet from work.
Ok Phil, we got the pedal installed now. We can arrange to bring your ours when ever you want. We took if for a test drive and it definately felt stiffer. Ryan was impressed by my shifts lol, he said I'm out shifting my car and definately need to upgrade my clutch. "tire chirp in third"

Phil, did you get a clutch? Are you getting it installed this weekend??? What's up???

Well I took my 8 into mazda for cel and hard start. My airpump went out and I got one bad rotor and need a new engine.
I called mazmart its going to run me about $3,000 for a rebuilt with minor upgrades re-medy water pump, thermostat and oil pressure mods.

See your PMs. What you need for warranty is do-able
I am happy to report that Kasumi is now back on the road. Phil, Patrick's transmission is installed but right now I have a CEL and engine braking makes a funky noise. We are going to dive back in and see what might be going on. One of the wires for the tranny might be loose causing the light. Don't know about the noise at all, it kind of worries me.
Anyways I am in need of a shipping quote for my bumper, say like 10 lbs to 13669. Can you let me know?

Good to hear it is now back working. Now I don't know that much about manual trans but it sounds more like a vaccuum line off. Might give Ray a call.
chun, its ryan
-a check engine light means there is a code. if the car is drivable you can go to any autozone and have the check engine light scanned for free. that will tell you whats wrong with the car.
as far as something not being plugged in, there is 2 plugs intertwined onto one loom.
http://www.vegasdrift.com/forum/inde...opic,55.0.html
click on link number 5 for tranny then download the free version (takes 45 sec's)
go to page 23, there it has a diagram of the 2 plugs and their location on the tranny
if it turns out that those are not the problem. then getting the codes scanned will deffinetly tell you what they are.
i'm glad to see kasumi back on the road again! i make fun of your car alot, but it's been missed for a while

She's definitely drivable and feels great in gear and shifting. It's just feathering 1st or reverse and engine braking give me a funky rattle which makes me think the issue is clutch related, like my last fuct up tranny messed up my new clutch a little, I hate to take everything apart again to find out but that might have to happen.
Ray I'll take you up on that scan tool to get the code. I think it is pretty simple and nothing terrible to worry about since she feels so good when driving. There is a bold that is connected to wire leads on the transmission itself that we had to use from my previous tranny. We didn't have a wrench big enough for it so I am just really thinking it needs to be tightened down.
It's definitely good to have her back Thanks for the hookup Phil and Ray. She's almost completely back

For those 8s that may have a problem....
1. State now requires a code from each car tested for emmissions. Code is from the ecu to the testing computer. This is a new requirement that has to be in the computer.
2. If you have a Cobb AP chances are that you can pass anyway - unless you get a tester that looks at everything. Most do not but it's best to check him out first. The Cobb can mask most things that would normally fail you.
3. Nevada testing only says that the car has to be equipped with a catalitic converter, stock ecu and air cleaner (our cars). You can see now where the hold up might be.
It is still possible to get it done but now the car needs to be left at the site overnight and the cost has gone way up ($150.00)
The 7s can't get by that easy unless there is a way to reprogram the ecu.
