Here is a simple question, how were the SCR people to know this was SOP for the Vegas 8's to migrate somewhere else??

I received text messages or postings from most of the active (not belonging to SCR) telling me they could not make it....Several of the 8s members are also members of SCR.

Sorry you hurt your hand, but a quick "I'm on the way" would have solved the problem. I don't have a phone that allows me to use the internet (don't want one ether) so posting is not an option.....One of the SCR members that was with us stated that you were working very late.............we assumed that since you did not text that you were not coming. I find it a little strange that eight peeps would be an hour late but none would text of the fact.

Bitter? I am not bitter.....I'm used to the fact that members have busy lives.

Let me help you get up to speed as our meets are during the week and conflicts with your schedule which doesn't allow you to attend, SCR meets do not migrate somewhere else after 45 minutes, we have members on the East side of town that tend to show atleast an hour after the designated start time. If we knew eachother is running late how are we to know who was at In & Out? Frankly Ryan and Jen sadly show up to maybe 20% of the meets how on god's earth would we know they were there? And with one hand how was I to call or text anyone while driving?

In short if SCR is reaching out to the Vegas 8's and switching our meet day once a month a better level of communication needs to be established both ways. Another tidbit I don't miss meets have even towed my SA once to a meet because she died while I was on the way, with that being said you can coinsider me a contact person in the future if I am not going to attend rest assure my wife will let all know I died thats not happening anytime soon

Yes you did chun thats why I sent you that photo,

The bitter talk would be me, frankly after leaving work two hours late, racing around the valley in my DD, getting a hood onto my car and rushing to the meet location with other members behind me to pull into an empty lot ... I was (fill in the blank) and who wouldn't be?

Then to find out the "meet" was moved without letting anyone else know

I am not used to waiting for a hour for some one to show up unless told in advance. Since I am to blame for everyones tardiness then I apologize. In the future if I am not there when the event is scheduled to start, then proceed with out me as I will just go home if no one is at the appointed meeting place in an hour of the set meeting time, there will be no migration.

Now that said, can we just drop this? I do not want to be the cause of any problems within the club.

Hey Thanks a bunch guys. Yah I had a feeling spring mountain road would be the place. I have some clients over there and had my Soarer painted at Spring Mountain Autobody.

I might be flying down next week. Wife and I are looking at getting a new home built down in Southern Highlands. Any advice on the area? It's in Highlands Ranch near Jones and Decatur I think.

We wanted to stay at the MORE QUIET south end of Vegas. House will take 4-5 months to build so they say.

Oh BTW,

Who wants to attend SEMA? If you want to attend SEMA I can get advanced tickets. There will be a limit of 5 people that I will take with me. First come first serve. If you have connections already then use them. If not let me know and i'll see what I can do.

If we register before Oct 18, then it's $25.00 each.

PM me. If there are more than 5 people going I will do my best to accommodate but no promises. I get a shitload of mail coming to me when I do this for people. But since I'm expecting to be a part of this family within the next 6 months I figured I'd do something nice for y'all.

Thanks,
Rishie

oh I still love ya Phil, I am not one for not speaking my mind is all, we cannot make things better if we do not communicate . Phil with the size of our group getting everyone to the same place at the same time just is not fisable due to work/school schedules. LOL crap we have started to disperse from a meet 3 hours after it started and over a half dozens rotaries start rolling in,

have faith big guy

I am requesting a pass for SEMA this year. I thought I had connections for another pass and it fell thru. Name on the tag Phil Dorsey. Nothing wrong with Southern Highlands but don't count on it staying quiet.

Southern Highlands is an excellent location. It is just as nice as Summerlin but not as pricey. Jones and Decatur are parallel so I am not sure where exactly you guys are thinking. If it is south of Silverado Ranch then it's all gorgeous.... if it's north... meh.

BTW, you may want to look into the short sale market. There are many a fine house in Southern Highlands that could be had for $80 to $90 a square foot and that can be for 3 - 4K sq ft houses. 5K and up houses are still going to run $100 - $110 a square foot though.

I've had school for the last some-odd months preventing me from attending Tuesday meets. It was a given that I wouldn't be able to attend.

Chris, little Phil, Chun......will I see you Saturday?

Chun, I have a message for you from Jethro Tull: I think it was chunbelievable who is waiting on a VR set from me. Tell him that they well be done soon. I sold-out my first batch of VR's and he is next in line. The bad news is, it's a 2-stage paint and they are $200/set, though I'm pretty sure I told him that when we were at the bar. That DOES include shipping, though.

Please tell Jethro I don't have the funds to spare at the moment. I just dropped 2K on a trip to NY that I don't want to take. I still have to pay for intake parts and the paint work for Kasumi. So unfortunately the eye lids have to wait.

As for Saturday, I'll be around if you guys need a hand on the cars. Who's are we working on?

Chris was asking about it being open....Not sure what he wants to tackle yet. I don't think that there is a leak in my cooling system but you got my attention with the "I see a leak" and now I want to check it out. Will have to lower/remove undertray and run the car to see if there is a leak.........

Ok so they guy who bought my car at Courtesy just called. I feel bad because it has all sorts of problems... I'm suprised they sold it on their lot and not at auction. I went down the list of issues with him. They also didn't disclose to him that it had been in a couple car accidents- shoulda asked for the carfax. I feel bad for him, but it just goes to show that dealers will sell anything. There is no way that car should have passed their "Safety inspection" prior to being put on the lot.

I feel terrible for that guy. ******* Courtesy... They really just don't give a shot outside of the tiny dollar they collected. I have campaigned all I can but people still buy from them

Phil I'll come down to help. Don't know what Chris is hoping to do either.

Poor guys is in shock of all the things I told him about that car. He is going to call his bank to see if he can get out of it. I told him if he ends up keeping it, that we know a good rotary shop or two lol.

FYI I still have the KOYO radiator, I never used it, but it is a used radiator. I have it listed on CL. But if anyone wants it, just give me a reasonable offer. I also have some random stock pieces sitting around- exhaust, springs, radio, side markers, sun roof deflector. Ryan wants to keep the stock rims to use on his car.
