That was a bunch of work! Kasumi is back together and new transmission has been installed. Taking it easy for the first 500 miles but the noises has definitely subsided. There is still a little whir when shifting but nothing too bad and that gnarly grinding noise when in gear is gone.

It should be better going forward now that we know how it is done it will be better next time. I hate the damn bolts up top and that power station bar is no pick nick either. Next weekend I highly recommend removing Felipe's mid pipe to get to stuff easier.

I'll be at Phil's to help out Felipe. Hopefully we can get a few more cats to help out next Saturday.

Hey Phil, question for you. My coolant light has begun to show up a little. I know I have coolant in there but I imagine it is just a little low. I am not sure the coolant I have in there however. Can I just add more coolant or do I need to do a flush to be safe? I can't really do a flush to the weekend so if I just add coolant of any other kind should I be OK til the weekend?

Also, I was thinking, so you don't have to drive all over the planet to do me a favor, I'll pick up the truck on the way home so I can grab my bumper. I was too tired yesterday to make the extra trips but I am fine to do that tonight.

Just add distilled water anytime you are in need.

Phil, I PM'd you about the gauge pod. Not a bad deal at all considering the simplicity of the install. Now I just need to find the gauges.

Hey guys, I met most of you a while back on that drive to Red Rocks a few months ago. Anyway I wanted to get your opinion.

I have picked up a set of Bilstein pss9 coilovers, but I don't really have the know-how to do the install myself. I took a look this weekend but didn't want to mess anything up having never touched the suspension before. Do you know of a good place in town that could do the install? I've called around and the estimates have been anywhere between $500-$700 (ouch).

Or should I just man up and tackle it myself?

Felipe did his own springs but it took a day for the front then a day for the back. We are in the garage this weekend working on a few 8's but we probably won't be able to get to your suspension this weekend as we are dropping Felipe's tranny on Saturday.

You might want to stop by and talk to Felipe about it. Also if you help with his tranny he may be inclined to give a hand with the coil overs.

It's that GG one next to the red FCs. I did get it from Courtesy but it's a manual so that's probably someone else.

I would gladly help this weekend but I already have plans in Utah for Labor day.

^^ Fair enough. Let us know what you decide to do. If you want to install them yourself I am sure one of us can help you out. It will take a while since you have not done it before.

There are rotary meets on the first, second and fourth Thursday of every month and are posted on http://z10.invisionfree.com/SincityR...ex.php?act=idx

The third Friday of every month the meet is on Friday. This month, September, the Friday meet is at 7 stock in the bar at Double Tree Inn. Normally the Friday meet is at In & Out on West Sahara. Occasionally my garage is open for scheduled work projects. Some times we fill the neighborhood with rotary cars....everyone is welcome to come by.

Come and see us......let us know your alive. None of us are professional mechanics but we tackle about every job on the 7s &8s. Come to a meet and make friends and work partners. You'll find we are always willing to help.

Saturday only, my garage will be open. We intend to remove little Phil's tranny and change the fly wheel. If anyone would like to stop by, PM me for directions to my house.

Well Shoyurx and Rynak0, you guys should try to make a meet one of these days. Both of you haven't been around in a while.

And if you see this, AJ, Gilbert and Armin should come back around too. Just sayin.

Phil,

I messaged and emailed that gauge pod guy and haven't heard anything back yet. Instructions are to send him cash and he'll get the pods out to us. I want to make sure I hear from him and that some are available before I just dish out any loot.
