Phren.... shush.
Phil... let's not get ahead of ourselves. I still need to get Pam to sign on and that's a lot of lawns mowed, palm tress trimmed and needles picked up.

Damnit! All I want is a supercharger that I can afford! 6K on 100hp is NEVER gonna fly. And I am too cartarded to babysit a turbo. Can't I please have an SC for like $3000... is that so wrong?!?

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-specific-performance-mods-97/knightsports-supercharger-kit-198422/ Talk to this guy and see if he can hook you up with his friends..........There are three Pettit kits that I know of in Japan and one of them recently wrecked. That's all I know.

^ $5000 AUS = $4900 USD. Less returns on that kit than your Pettit. Not the option I would take.
I think I need to go back to the whole no FI thing.

I have some personal experience with the fuel filter/pump and know that without a little experience it is not a good idea to screw with it (on the 8). Normally it is a good idea to change regularlly on most cars but with the 8 a little prudance is necessary.
I just wanted Den to be careful with the MAF cuz it's easy to clean but if you use the wrong stuff or not treat in correctly then you can make matters worse.
This weekend the garage is only open for emergencies.
Den: The nitros master and his side kick will be in town soon. If you would like to talk to them let me know and I will set it up. In the mean time a post to Easy_E1 (side kick) would be in order........Just don't do as he does cuz Mazda is out of manifolds

I'm pretty sure that can be rethreaded. Provided what you mean is that the screws for the mass air flow senor are not biting into the housing.

Lookin for some help
I'm 17 and live on the south/eastern side of Las Vegas. I've been saving for the last couple of years and will be a new owner (hopefully) of an RX-8 soon.
I'm looking for someone who does normal maintenance preferably around my area (trop & eastern - ish) to show me the ropes of taking care of one of these beasts.
I haven't worked much on cars before, and I want to learn to be able to maintain and keep it in pristine condition.
If anyone has time to show a kid how a few things work, I'd really appreciate it.
PM with any details you have!

Hey Jon. Hopefully you get your 8. If you do, or even before you do, you should really check out these threads:

Lots of great information for first time owners of this car. If you end up getting one bring her by to one of our wrench meets or one of our weekly gatherings with Sin City Rotary or one of the monthly meets with but SCR and the Vegas 8's.
Best of luck!
