Hey guys, new to rx8 club and just wanted to say hi. I recently got an 06 pearl white shinka and I've been checking out this forum for a while and so far its been pretty educational. Hopefully I'll be at the Napoli meet to meet everyone!

Thanks to those who made it to the Thursday meet at In N Out, had a safe, accident, wreck, and total free journey both ways (as well as ticket free). Managed to stop at the same gas station both ways only once and made it back in about 7 hours, both ways. 30 mpg

It was awesome seeing a Subaru speed past me on my way home, only to find him pulled over a short distance later haha

and im currently looking at an 04 VR 6 speed manual, fully loaded with navi with 33k miles with an Injen intake and short shifter at the dealer right now. Test drove it. It was amazing. I'll let you know how it goes.

Also more good news, I found out the cop that gave me a speeding ticket did not use a radar gun! My case is next Tuesday and I'm quite confident about it more now

How long were they behind you? They may have paced you and thats all they would need, as long as you were within a certain distance and they paced for a certain distance as well. Just not sure what that certain distance is lol.

 

she wasnt behind me, i was on a road going by her, with several other cars (I believe it branched out into 3 lanes), and I was in lane farthest away from the outside, and she was on a side street close to the light, as if she was making a right turn. SO, she just happened to be there as I was coming up. I'm assuming guesstimate speed, as she was right there, not setting a speed trap.

Also, with the lack of evidence she has, besides a dash cam of me going by, coming to a stop.. My clean record before that could help the case. I'll also say I was profiled for the type of car I drive. Dunno if my accident would come up or not, but still.. I've had a clean record since I've been driving before these past 2 months of unforeseen events.

 

Would anyone want two dunlop 2050 tires(whatever came stock) that are almost at the wear bars on them? I can see just how much tread is left on them tomorrow, but its not a lot above the wear bars. Just figured someone might want them as a tire to wreck trying to practice drift or something along those lines. Gonna be getting those tires replaced soon since I just had to replace two of them from hitting something.

Just measured and one has a little under 1/4 inch of tread left in the middle and the other has a little over 1/4 inch of tread left they are 225/45/18. Just to clarify I am not looking to sell these, just looking to give them to anyone that could or would be able to make any use out of them.

Ya so I guess I'm "new guy" number two haha recently picked up an 04 GT black on black and will be slowly building it up for the track. Looking forward to getting to know the local (and non local) 8 owners.
