well, there's only really 3 people who might say something which would be jason, which i asked to help me source a series 5 rotor since they are hard to find and i had none as well as replace the rotor housings versus buy them. i also reinstalled his engine free of charge even though he only paid for just an engine rebuild when the pan was leaking. i made zero profit at the end of the day off that particular job. then i hear exaggerated figures, half of the timing was in sourcing parts.
Davis who's car only took marginally longer than i figured, keep in mind the car also hadn't been driven for nearly 3 years and of course needed more work than anticipated to get it back to reliable running condition again. then i hear things like running untuned.... of course, the car had 3 year old gas in the tank/pump... better to test it cruising on the freeway than doing dyno pulls after just getting it started.
Mario who got a complete engine bay detail for free. sure i could have left the engine bay, engine and accessories all dirty and reassembled it and probably been closer to being done on time. maybe i should have, considering i don't believe i ever heard any thanks for doing it. again running untuned, because it needed to be broken in and until i had time to do the tune. then got a ticket during tuning after fixing the lower air dam which i didn't charge to install losing half a day doing all that for nothing, since i never was paid to retune the car on the dyno.
only one non rotary job i ever turned away, that was when a coworker of Shaun needed something done and i had jobs that needed to be done on the burner. another i said i would do but never heard from them. i also built a 2nd gen supra turbo HKS MLS headgasket in the shop with cooling system upgrades and wiring and tune up items, electrical work on a 900CBR, a coworker of my GF who has a dodge neon who needed body and electrical work, diagnosis and repair of a column ignition switch lock pin on a jeep liberty, etc etc etc. i have done non rotary work and if i have an empty shop never turned it down.
making myself miserable? i have been miserable since shortly after i arrived here. apparently people talk **** behind your back here and act like they never said a word. yes it's miserable knowing you are making squat and the people you are working for think you're ripping them off and treat your work as such. last year i mentioned i would be closing once work slowed, it did and i am now working on getting all this crap out of here to at least get something from all these parts i have spent time accumulating and cleaning. all the current work in the shop is to pay for the rent in the meantime.

Ok is going ok. Lol. Wont be able to make Vegas this year due to things happening since the move. But one way or another I will be there next year and hopefully with my 8 the way I want it. Miss the rotary community thats out there in Vegas they are kinda sparse here in okc.

Plugs could be the cause but doubtful, coils more likely but the MAF is usually the culprit.

and check the top of the tank for fuel wetness, i've seen a few pump housings crack in this desert heat which will affect all around performance and even in some cases gut the car of all power(like pulling hills driving up to Mt. charleston).
if you guys do wind up needing a new pump cheapest OE replacement is the airtex unit from rockauto($175, cheapest factory pumps are $300+), alternative for an upgrade for modded vehicles would be the walbro unit from BHR but i wouldn't go that route on a stock car without a Cobb AP/tuning otherwise you will cause even more harm than good with excessive fuel consumption and cooked O2 sensors and catalysts.

Based upon the posting lately, it does not seem that there are many of us 8 owners left in Vegas.
I am hoping that those of us that are left will make an appearance at WHiV5.

I saw 4 RX8's yesterday. 3 Phantom blues and a silver. First blue, sitting on the side of the northbound 215 by Flamingo. Hmmm. Second was A Mair. on the 215 right next to me in Phil's car. Didn't respond to me waving out the window at him. Third was a Blue with chrome factory wheels going East on Flamingo by the 215. Honked at them and they waved back. And a Sunlight Silver with factory chrome wheels on Cheyene about 10 last night.
Did I mention I'm in Vegas?

No you did not mention you were in vegas (left a few minutes ago). Yea I still see lots of 8s but only a few post. I would still hope to see a few if not all of the local 8s at WHiV5

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
I just went back from Phoenix (Chandler area), because my brother moved over there. Very tired of loading and unloading my brother's stuffs onto his upstairs apartment. Anyways, i was there for 2 days, and i saw a red S1 rx8 (very low)...just wondering if Easy E1 knows that person (i was driving by Pecos in Chandler, AZ.)
