I posted earlier about a meet at the river or Lake Mohave for this late spring or early summer. Jason and I did a little investigation and found that the river is not a viable location for a meet due to all the restrictions that are place upon the users. The water temperature would also be a minus so Lake Mohave it will be if there are enough to make it viable.
I do have a party boat, jet boat and jet skis so there would be enough boats for a small group. My idea is to take a weekend consisting of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and clean up on Monday at Cottonwood Cove on Lake Mohave. Using all those days everyone could have at least one day on the lake or could camp out and stay for the weekend (there are also cabins available). I have not yet picked a time for this so I am taking a consensus of members to even consider this as an outing for us. I am considering this for late May or early June so that it will not be too hot but the water should be warmer and before the wind usually starts. It will take some time on my part to get all the stuff down there so I would like everyone to answer me quickly so that I can make my plans. I would like to keep this among the members only (it could get out of hand).
DIRECTIONS:
For those of you who may not know where Lake Mohave is or Cottonwood Cove are - Just drive toward Boulder City, turn to follow signs to Searchlight (Needles, Laughlin) on Highway 93, turn left at the sign in Searchlight (Cottonwood Cove Road) and drive an additional 12 miles to the camping area. I will be in the RV area with a sign on my motor home and will greet you there
Rules that will apply:
1. If you drink then you can't operate any of my water craft. You can ride but not drive.
2. You must supply your own legal flotation devise (vest or equal) and you must have one to even ride in a boat. Inexpensive ones available at Walmart or Bass Pro Shop.
3. Children are welcome but must be managed by their parents and will wear their foliation devices at all times when in or on a watercraft.
4. I don't want to be a policeman or your guardian but when using, riding upon, riding in any water craft my word will be law. I don't want any one hurt on my watch.
5. I do have water skis, singles and doubles and all are welcome to use them. Remember that alcohol and water don't mix to well. Your welcome to bring some of your own equipment.
6. Each person attending will supply their own food, drink and camping equipment - I will pay for the fuel to operate all the water craft but may require some assistance filling them up. I will also pay for a boat slip or slips to dock at so daily assistance with the boats will be kept to a minimum.
Lets see Anthony, Mario, Jason MX, Armen, Gill & Annette have commited to coming. I will set the date on my trip to Laughlin and post it in advance so those of you that need to get time off can do so.
For those of you wishing to come to the Cottonwood Cove meet, presently the following are available.
1. Dirt camping at the camp sites are on a first come first serve basis. Can't tell if they will be full. If full you can camp on the day beach we will use as our central point but you are stuck there after dark.
2. There are currently 17 spots open for full service RV spots (I will be in one of these in my motor home)
3. There are small motel rooms available for that weekend if you would like. The resort has no internet connection and rentals are only by phone. See WWW.CottonwoodCove.com for phone numbers.
4. We will have one docking space for the deck boat. Someone could sleep on the deck boat if need be as there is a lot of space on the boat (ask Jason). If there is room at the dock I will park the other boat there otherwise I will need assistance taking it out of the water daily.
5. My partners asked me not to bring the jet skis because of liability if someone gets hurt. So currently there will be two boats available. Jet skis can be rented in Searchlight if you wish.
5. Unless there is a really large turn out, we will leave the dock somewhere between 9 AM and 10 am and boat to a beach close to the Marina. The boat will return to the marina at 1 PM and then just before it gets dark. If you would like to be a boat driver please PM me. This is not set in stone but we do not want to be just ferrying people from the day beach to the marina all day - Let's have some fun.
6. Small children are welcome on the deck boat but discouraged from the jet ski boat. Please see rules in main posting.
There may be a small ($5.00) fee for entering the park. The park service may charge $3-$5 per night to camp at the marina area. All other questions will be answered by PM[/quote]

1. Date of dyno meet will be 5/24/08 that is May 24, 2008 it will be a Saturday.
2. Time of first run should be 8am
3. Cost for dyno runs is not set in stone yet as I am going to barter with them but it should be about $100.00 per hour
4. Everyone doing a dyno run will have to post a non refundable $25 deposit. This will pay for the facility if you do not show but it will be part of your run money.
5. If there are enough Acess Ports or other tuneable ECUs available at the time, I will assure that Jeff (MM) comes up to adjust tunes between runs. I will pay his expenses but if he has any other charge it's between him and you.
6. Once you have paid your deposit, you will be given a start time for your first run. If your 1 minute late, you forfit your start time and takeover the start time of another tester. If you fail to show up at all, you will forfit your deposit to the guy that opened up on a Saturday so that we could test.
Your $100.00 intitiles you to one hour of dyno time which should be good enough for 2-3 runs with tuning. Maximum people will be 8 (maybe 10 if some do not have an AP) cars.
THE DATE IS MAY 24TH, 2008 AND THE FIRST DYNO WILL BE AT 8AM
IF YOU HAVE A COBB AP, ULTIMATE, INTERCEPTOR X, OR OTHER TUNEABLE ECU YOU NEED TO TELL ME IF YOU NEED TUNING.
