Las Vegas RX8 Club?
I know some guys have an informal Mazda meet on Sunday evenings, but is there anyone else that has one from Vegas???
We should start something... I used to do the vw's, then started the WRX's, and now we have a sport bike club. Let's get some locals together for an RX8 meet/club!

I haven't seen to many 8's on the road here in Vegas. This may have something to do with our dealership. Did you buy your car locally and if so, where and what was the dealership experience like?
Thanks
I have been to courtesy in henderson a few times, but they have all 8's with a "market value adjustment" and unwanted dealer addons like "a desert protection package" ( I even saw this bs on a 6 last weekend and that car is discounted everywhere else in the US ) and even discussing the 8 is like asking them doing you a big favor. The 8 is a great car, I have had great luck with Mazdas in the past, I am ready to buy and can afford the car, but the dealtership's starting position and attitude are a hinderence to putting me in the car.
Thanks

I did get mine locally, and I had to cut through hella red tape.
If you can get it out of state, then by all means do it, I spent 3 hours playing a chess game with one fo the mazda dealer out here.
Or you can just keep on showing up, and keep on pestering the sales manager every day
If you are annoying enough, they will sell you the car for what you want.... just to get you off the floor.
Or that could backfire, too!!!

Not much into show, but I have seen the registrations online.
The track looks interesting, as I have a lot of track time
What's the latest I can reg by??? Hopefully through the weekend.

ROGLV
Um, there is a club already... the ROGLV... http://roglv.org
We even had a small small meet of 8's out at Red Rock...
We need some people to help though, organize meets, etc... and get the word out.
Our next event will be making the trek down to SevenStock, then the Mazda Nationals the week after... If you can't make it to the entire event, then come out for just the Autocross or road course, or even show and shine...

Excellent! I'll check the site out later today.
I've helped with vw scene and also got a suby started in vegas that someone now has taken over.
I'm also an officer in http://www.sincitysportbikes.com
So I would be MORE than happy to help out!
Can't wait until the next meet!

Tonight, 9/18, I'm meeting another club at the Tropicana In&Out. Just some friends with Subys.
I'll spread the word to two other mazda owners that I know, too.
If anyone can make it, that would be cool. Starts at about 8:15. Just look for the blue 8

My office is really near the In-N-Out on trop (go to Polaris, all the way to the end, and you'll see Tririga on the left, and the parking lot on the right with my 8 in there. Harry's shop is close too... Arville south of Trop (Arville and Reno)

Not many people showed up, so the next meet will be the weekend after the big vegas mazda event!!
I'll post details in a few days about the next Vegas meet!

Looking for other rx8 owners in Vegas
I just bought a '04 rx8 and am already having probs, I love the car and want to keep her going. I would love it if I could meet some other folks in Vegas to give me some pointers.
I was driving home yesterday and it just started to idle really rough and then stalled. I have heard that I should use a heavier weight oil, and do something called seafoaming. I am mechanically inclined but know nothing about cars. any ideas are very welcome and I would really like to get together with other rx8 owners.
'04 rx8 with 63k miles and automatic
I wanted the manual but couldn't find one in town
