The plugs were dark black, you can tell it was wet. I just let the plugs dry in the sun where it turned to a lighter shade of black and just sanded as much as the carbon off before putting it back on.

I don't take it to the dealer unless I have to as the mechanics there are careless. Last time I took my car in to get new taillights I got my car back with a **** load of scratches on my rear bumper... Only time I go to the dealership is to get new parts for the 7, one of my good friend works in the parts department and I get 35% employe discount

my cars in the dealer right now for the starter, battery and plugs.

i told them ive been having hard starts from time to time, but it seems as if they really want to see it start up hard themselves before there willing to change it out.

i may have to call mazda if they dont do it?

and yes ill be going to this meet.

errr....just called the dealer about the starter. they say they cant get it to "fail" or get any hard starts, even though i actually have had hard starts from time to time.

so now im not sure if i should just leave the car with them and let them keep trying to make it have a hard start, or...well i dont see any other choices.

i want that dam starter!

any suggestions please?

suggestions: try a different dealer.

2nd suggestion: I would not leave the car at a dealership. If your car is truely having these problems, they will happen again...and more than likely, you'll have the problems more in the winter. Snowfl8k's 8 eventually wouldn't start at all...she had to have the car towed to the dealership...now there is no avoiding an 8 being towed into the dealership...

See you in malibu.

yeah I took my car there for a 5k service and told them about the common brake squeal and they told me that it was normal. I told them to give me my keys back and walked away.

Go the distance.... T.O. is better, so I've heard

can't wait to let the 8 get loose.

Today I got to see how much I appreciate the 8. I went to the Ventura auto mall to look at cars for my wife. I'm looking at S2000s since that's all she talks about. Well as soon as I rolled in (I'm in the 8) I get cocky looks. I went in straight to the S2000. I get told that, that is a better choice than the 8. The guy tells me that it handles better, has more power, blah, blah (also asking $40k) and the 8 is nothing but a disapointment underpowered non-handling, ugly, POS. I tell that as a saleman that he shouldn't be bad mounthing my pride and joy. I told him to tell me that when the S2000 has a 50/50 distribution, sit 4, has actually significally amount more of power than the 8 (WOW 1 hp more), when the valve don't need constant adjustment, when the motor doesn't blow up from over reving, and whe it gets Car & Driver Car of the year (or something like that) in 2 years in a row. He just stood there with his jaw on his hand. Then I tell him that I can go to the other local dealer and get the same car for $34k, then I walked out got in the car and drove off while the manager try to chase me down to talk to me. So word of advise don't go there.

Sorry had to vent

It's ironic that Honda makes great cars yet Honda dealerships have THE worst sales people. (Well, I think it's a toss up between them and BMW for being the worst.) Out of all the times I've shopped for Hondas w/ friends, family, or myself, 9 out of 10 Honda dealership salespeople were condescending, rude, and outright stupid and full of ****. The only place that was decent was Penske Honda out in bumb **** Ontario, and even then it was because I bought an advertised vehicle, so there was no haggling involved.

I had a good experience at Thousad Oaks Honda. It was just this guy that was a moron and started to put me down the minute I went in. Now for worst experience I ever had at a dealer, was at a Nissan. No matter where I go they are pushy as hell.

Guys the cruz is coming up, I got my camera equipment ready and the car's been all prettied up. Its gonna be a long day for me, going to a clients house at 5am for a quick polish and wax job for his ferrari. Then full throttle to the meet, hope to make it on time.
Anyways I was thinking if everybody is down, I would take you to the same spot I did my photoshoot not too long ago.

Yeah, its a couple miles north of Neptunes. The spot is pretty big so fitting all of our 8's in a line should be no prob. Hopefully no one else will be there.

Also

At neptunes we will be parking on the side of the road before the entrance like we did once before.

On PCH I'll be zooming around to video you guys.

Its going to be a blast, see you guys in the am!
