The ship docks in Port Hueneme on December 7th (17 days). It could take up to 2 weeks to get through customs and trucked to the dealer. I should have it right before xmas.

yeppers..

10+ years & 105K+ original miles & counting... LOL. Well, I was really just venting a bit. Overall the 3 has been very good to me. It's just annoying when I have to keep going back for stuff as she ages. And I'm just exhausted this week... But in all fairness, what 10+ year old car doesnt have problems?

Don't worry Roger... Your 335i sb fine.

Well German cars do tend to have more electrical problems as they age. And parts are HELLA expensive... BMW quality has gotten a lot better over the years. But, it's still a bit inconsistent.

My friend bought his 3 new also- a year b4 mine- a 97... He hardly ever drives anywhere cuz he works from home. And his car has literally fallen apart. Hes got less mileage than me & he's needed a new cat ($1200+) & a laundry list of things of expensive things. His radio/ tape player is like a vibrator LOL One of bosses at New Line leased a new 06 545i & same ****- right after the first year. They mustve just gotten lemons.

Once I got to 155 mph and stayed there for a minute my mpg increased to 15. Thats better than the rx8 at 80mph.

^ the bmw is a joy to drive though- i have to say. isn't it? i'm sure the 335i is a blast. well, got my 3 back from the shop today, but they realized that they forgot to change my thermostat. so, i have to go back monday.. again. @#$%^^ of course, my check engine light came on again on the way home... it's the inconvenience of dealing with all the trips to the shop that have started to annoy me... >

I've heard from other people that german car's have "electrical demons." - I'm sure there is some truth to it.

As far as German cars, I've read that BMW is the most reliable. Although, it's still not close to being on par with honda or toyota.

We did our 626 meet night run this past Sat night, and it was a blast. But, I do have to say tho that I'm really growing more & more disappointed in the lack of passing power of our cars. Down shifting just makes the engine rev louder & that's about it... LOL. With a 150+ lb passenger in the car it's even more a lost cause...

Other than that though, canyon carving is still a lot of fun... Just the power thing is frustrating...
