I know for me it became a little redundant going so often. And then I also found autocrossing to be a good/safe replacement for my adrenaline rush. I have had the same feelings with the San Bernardino meets. I push my car less. I go to those because they are so much closer for me. I would still like to go to Malibu every once in awhile.
I will be in San Diego on the 1st, so I won't be in on this one.

Yeah I definately think we can still have these meets. I had a blast the last time i went, I just dont want to go very often because of the wear and tear on the car. I'm starting to notice a few rock chips here and there...
This thread has had its ups and downs, I'm sure it'll get back up soon enough.

Here's the new game plan!:
We are going to take 2 months off and then regroup in June when the weather is nice again and we'll get a HUGE turnout to kick off the summer.
What do you guys think? This has always been an AWESOME meet, it would be a shame to let it die completely.

i was going to say, its amazing how big the last meet was and how quickly things dwindled down to near nothing, i think its just a lot of people ended up getting caught up around this time, and the rainy bad weather doesn't help, when it starts to dry up it will be much safer.
see you all in a few months, maybe my suspension will be setup by then :D

the more things change
waiting for summer is good. xrider and i ran over some pretty big rocks the last time out. which was after it rained. i thought i was going to be towed home after hitting that thing. ok guys looking for a little info. i'm thinking of changing my exhaust. but i want a smooth sound. nothing loud and no 4 inch ports. i heard racing beats on a vid and it sound good. also heard the mazda ms and it sound like gears grinding. your thoughts are welcomed...

get racing beat!!! very smooth, a nice low tone and not too loud at all, perfect for you.
i always thought it was a little strange you got a loud color like winning blue even though you're not into wings and loud exhausts and stuff. heheh

Micahel. I have the Racing Beat, and Snowfl8k has the HKS. Hers has a lot more back pressure and "pops" alot. I like the sound it has, really highlights the engine...but it does make the engine sound different. My Racing Beat is similar to the stock sound (almost exactly)...but like you turned the volume **** up a bit. I think it would be perfect for what it sounds like you want.
I remember dropping my car off at Midas, and then driving away with a grin from ear to ear. You definatley notice the difference the second you drive away. You don't really notice the difference while it is at idle.
Another plus, is that you could probably pick it up used, since most people are trading to different brands.
A new one that people are liking is the Turbo XS. It is very similar in sound to the HKS, and it really does make performance gains. It is performance oriented, so it doesn't have nice tips. You could always get the Magnaflow tips welded on if you want to get some Bling-Bling. The system is expensive though, and new...so in high demand.
GReddy is really loud...and the tips are oval-ish. I didn't like the sound at all...too much for me.
Good luck with your choice.

Michael,
I've got the Racing Beat exhaust and I HIGHLY recommend it. Sound like it's just what you're looking for.
BBQ???

Yes I want to have a BBQ some time. But I can't give you guys a date yet. I'm thinking of moving outside the base during the summer. If I do then it be great, get to break in the new house!!! but I do promise I will have one for you guys and have some Puerto Rican food for you also and may be some good rum to go with that , not that Barcadi crap.
