Malibu Cruise 8.5.2006.......

Oceanside...

The scenic, ocean view attracted a lot of motorists to stop by and have a look as well. I think the sheer presence of all our cars parked together along side the road also drew a lot of curious on-lookers, who decided to stop by to see what was going on...

One curiously amused elderly couple rolled up on a motorcycle and were instantly fascinated by our line-up and had to come by to ask, "So which one's [car] the fastest?" Upon which, a short but friendly color-debate ensued, which finally ended when Keith & Cesar objectively pointed out that it would've been Fanman, since he has the Greddy turbo... Except Fanman took off after lunch and didn't join us at this stop...

Malibu Cruise 8.5.2006........

And, the RX-8 salesman of the year award goes to...

After the "which color is the fastest" debate cheerfully subsided, the elderly gentleman then proceeded to ask 50 questions about the RX-8 and rotary engines... Seemingly unphased by his sudden burst of interest, Cesar gracefully entertained all his clouds of curiousity, leaving no stone unturned or room for doubt for the sudden jolt of excitement over this uniquely amazing sports car. I think they stopped off at their local Mazda dealer on the way home...

Next item on the agenda, how to get all our cars lined up for a nice group photo.

Malibu Cruise 8.5.2006.........

Say CHEESE...

Oh wait, cars can't speak... LOL Well, after a great job by Jesse & his girlfriend- directing traffic and shooing incoming cars away from parking in our "spots," we finally managed to get all 12 remaining cars lined up in a row.

Hmm... Is it just me, or are there a LOT of whites today... Hey, just an observation about the CARS. No one's being racist miss Erica...

After that, it was back down PCH, through a tunnel, and back to McDonald's off Las Virginas Road to conclude the day. We also were lucky enough to see an Apache helicopter fly overhead during this last leg of the drive today...

hey jedi someone said the reason you could not make it, was because you were applying zaino to your luggage so they would slide on the ramps better...

oh, how I hate the way this forum changes the image requirements all the time...sometimes they are 200, sometimes 90, now they are 146....

Guys I'm almost done with the video, expect it to be up tommorrow night.

Heres a proposition, I'll come to the san bernardino meets every month if we have a malibu cruz like this 4 times a year. What do you say?

Cool beans... I'm definitely up for Malibu whenever everyone can make it.

Also, I added some journal entries on the photos I uploaded. So, rewind and go thru them again if you'd like to follow along...

I like thi spic but keith i am ashimed, you have enough photoshop skill do get rid of what ever is in the corner. I agree i hate that new photo size it too small can we petition a moderator or are we up **** creek because that are other file sharing possibilities.

AS for x-peds propition i would say 3 times a year? but then again you dont have to come to every meet just a few. Cant wait to see the video, how about you cesar how is it coming?

i agree w/ what keith said. i had to re-size all my photos twice too, because i didn't know the file size dropped from 280 down to 146. (what a pain.)

Guys just finished the video, just need to see if my host can take my video. Lot of good footage including my wipeout, fanman showing off in front of the rock store by letting his bov go off and keith has the closing shot.

Yeah, when was that? You were in front of me most of the cruz and I didn't see anything like that.

Also, just let me know if your host wont take the video and I'll host it for you like last time.

Yes a wipeout, it was towards the beginning of the cruz when we were heading up stunt. I was making a left turn when my back end caught the dirt and kept on going streight instead of turning and thankfully my car snapped back toward the otherway, if not i could have fallen off. I creamed my pants, lol but this wasn't the first time I wiped out on stunt.

Wow I totally missed that. I guess I was concentrating too much on keeping myself from wiping out to notice
