My LED tail lights are for sale!
My lights are for sale. I made another set with the idea I would sell them; however, it's just too much labor to make them. So I'm selling off the one set I made.

yea, the price is up there because the amount of work involved. Not to mention the price of the components. The three places that I contacted that made custom led's wanted between $700-$900 and I had to give them my tail lights up front. I'm not saying they are worth that much... just some info.

These leds are rated at 100,000 hours MTBF. That's over 11 years of continuous use. Not very likely they will burn out.
However, if you had too, it could be done. You would have to reseal the rubber backing with silicon. Once inside, everything is mounted with machine screws.
I have built in voltage regulation to keep any voltage spikes from hurting the leds. It's good for 30 volts.

Ah well, then props to those who knew about these and were savvy enough to get them while they were available!
Rotary Rasp, if you ever do reconsider going back into production of these, I'd be very interested. I regret that I don't know enough about voltage regulating circuits to do something similar. Are there any texts you can recommend that a lay-person such as myself could use to attempt such an effort without burning out the LEDs prematurely? Part of my interest is that I like the way LED tail lamps look (particularly in the Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin DBS, and BMW 645) and partially that I'd like to be able to hermetically seal my tail lamps to prevent leakage (I'm only my 3rd driver side taillight and I need to get a new passenger side unit because that one started leaking).
