I had the same procedure dude...I won't ruin the excitement but I do have some words of advice.....liquid Tynelol with codine will not be strong enough....ask for liquid Vicodine. I'm not joking on this.
There were several worst moments, but one that you should be aware of is the second you wake in your recovery room, you will vomit...make sure someone will be there with you as you will not have much strength to lift yourself up...as you will need to lean forward so that you don't have to swallow your own vomit. You'lll lean forward so the vomit can go around the outside of your teeth and wiring. That crust will be in your mouth the entire length of your recovery, as there will be no way to brush the back side of your teeth.
When they cut the wires and asked me to open my jaws for the first time, it was that crust that kept my teeth together. I needed some help from the doctor to seperate my jaws.
The second moment I want to advise you on, is the first time you look at yourself in the mirror. Try to stay away from doing this dude, as you will be so swollen you'll have a hard time not crying and questioning yourself why you did this to yourself. I'm not joking when i say this....I looked like the nutty professor. I was so swollen, I didn't recognize myself...and I was embarrassed on my ride home from the hospital, as so many people were staring at me from their cars next to us on the road.
...oh, now that I'm looking at the date....you are probably at home now...wish I would have seen this post earlier.

I lived on liquids, soup broth (no chunks), those protein drinks (I think they were called "assure"?) soupy f-in oatmeal....didn't have many options though, it was frustrating.
Tried different things when my strength came back, but you're basically limited to things you can push through a syringe.
You are on day 2 now...the worst part for me was the tensing of the jaw muscles....makes you feel like you need to yawn, but you can't.
