Nav install help?

I am thinking about doing the nav install in my car. Anybody willing to loan a garage for a day or two? I would probably take most of the parts out during the week and then need the garage for one day maybe (and a little help pulling the dash). I really would just need some help pulling the dash and then putting it back in. After that I could do all of it myself and get it back to a drivable condition.

What do you think? Thanks guys.

Damn, nobody? I ordered the parts today and they should be here by Friday next week if not earlier. Any ideas on a shop that might help me out? Or maybe one of those shops that you can pay a fee to use their lift? thanks guys.

Well, got all of the interior out except for the dash. Parts come in on Thursday and then install Thursday night and Friday day. If anyone wants to see what the interior looks like out let me know. I will post up a few pics in the DIY Nav post when I get the dash out.

Done...complete pain in the butt. But now I consider myself an expert on the interior of the RX8 so ask me a question if you need to remove something since I have removed it all. Did it in the carport of my apartment complex too.

Batman220,

Saw your movie in the IMAX this past weekend, you RULE!

When do we get to see pics of the finished product?

Did you take any while doing the install?

Thanks guys. I installed the OEM nav system. I wanted the factory integration with the sound system and clean looking install. I planned on taking pics of the install, but it got so intensive that I didn't have time to do it. I will try to get a few pics later today. It was very interesting and now I am sure I could do it in a lot less time.

Holy Rotary Gods Batman!!

I thought the OEM nav couldn't be installed after the fact...

I can't wait to see pictures.

I think it cost roughly 3k to have it installed AFTER you leave the lot... unless prices changed recently.

I got a deal on the parts from Mazmart for 2495, but I busted my windshield in the process so it is about 3K total.
