Hi guys, im new here, just wanted to say hello. Just purchased my rx8 last week from browning mazda. I got a 2005 Velocity Red 6 spd with the appearance package. I love this car! Just recently broke up with my boyfriend so I wanted to treat myself with something fun. Now I have a better car than he has! HA HA

Do any of you guys have local meets in the Gardena area? Thanks in advance.

Not sure exactly where Gardena is located but i think your best bet is the LAX meet, check out their thread. The other very active group is the San Bernardino meet, kind of a drive for you but we have had some people from the valley come out. Welcome aboard!

We have a local meet in the LAX area should be right up your alley since you reside in Gardena, as do I. Just search in the west section for the LAX meets. Hey welcome! How you doin? Heh, anyway, there are a few guys on here from Gardena and go to some meets so you can prolly meet up with them or caravan with them to other meets. You can hit up the socal rx meet this saturday or next weeks San bernardino one.

Hey welcome Rowena. I have been to a few meets (RX Socal cruise, Malibu Cruz, JC, and an OC) and they turned out great. Look forward to seeing you at one soon. Enjoy the rotary!

Welcome rowena! I'm not sure if you want to take a long drive on your newly bought 8 but we're having a rotary meet over the summer, look for the rotorfest post in the west forum. We're gonna have a range of cars from rx2's and 3's to stock and fully tuned 7's and 8's. If you can, try to make it, if you can't, its cool, we'll get pics up for you!

Thanks guys, you are too kind! I will definetly try to make it out to the next meet. Looking forward to seeing some nice rx8's. I want to start fixing up my car but don't know what to do first. I was thinking about some suspension and rims first. I saw pictures of xdeedubbx's car and his car is soooooo nice. Black on red is a great combination. Any suggestion on wheels? Thanks! =)

thanks for the compliment rowena. Those wheels took 5 months to get here, lots of patience required! haha. I would probably reccomend something form the RAY's Engineering stable.
